MM was an actress and a lifestyle blogger before she got married, so I'm sure that she can parley her celebrity into something like Goop, which has value of around $250 million as a company.

As far as what they've accomplished, she had a successful career as an actress and he had a successful career as a soldier and then as a philanthropist. That's very reasonable for two people in their mid 30s.

It’s not the ‘Sussex’ that is valuable, it is the ‘Royal’ that holds the weight.

Not certain the 'Royal' carries much weight either. Many consumer goods over the years have had the same word in the product brand names.

The Queen couldn't even be bothered to visit Phillip in the hospital. She left London as he was flying in.

You know why? He's living with his long-time lover now at Wood Farm (a small cottage on the Sandringham Estate)

Got it, so they will go back to being an actor and a soldier then. That would be really endearing. I would love to see them accomplished on their own merits and clearly disassociate themselves from the Royal brand. They are wealthy to boot and that should give them a boost.

She was married to a superstar musician and was still acting - that generated the publicity/interest for her company. And it still took a really long time to build goop.

It's accurate. It's well-known Prince Phillip moved out of the Queen's house years back. They didn't spend their anniversary together either.

As for Penny being his 'girlfriend' - she moved in and the European media have already reported on it. Pretty sure the Queen and Phillip have an 'understanding'. While the less said about Penny's home life the better - her son's a drug addict and her husband left her for 4 years to move to the Bahamas with HIS girlfriend. Since he holds the title she just had to sit home and wait for him to come back.

hmmm, I can totally see it as very romantic at the moment yet long term off putting. Harry’s family is what made him special to MM. Giving that up for her is yes romantic but then he has nothing left. If he is not a royal she is a bigger star than he is.
