Yes you now have this on girls side: Girls Academy 1st Tier = GA 2nd Tier = GA Aspire 3rd Tier = DPL 4th Tier = DPL Open US Club 1st = ECNL 2nd = ECRL 3rd = NPL Teams who can get into any of these leagues and stuck in USYS says something. But also see over time the DPL/NPL levels dying out, simply isn't enough demand for all that travel for third tier teams at a club. |
The race is on in getting enough teams to where the travel isn't as far. Its unfortunate, because in USYS state leagues, the best teams were promoted. Under this system, it's clubs vying to join a more elite league and individual team performances will vary, so teams unfortunately are mostly likely mismatched. The failure of USYS, tho, was it has failed in its college recruitment programs, leading clubs to seek out these platforms that are much better at it. |
100%. just wish GA was better at the college recruitment. they are really far behind with # of showcases, scout attendance and location of showcases |
It's been said a million times now older ECNL next generation GA. Tide is shifting. The colleges will follow with the transition |
hugh? so the significant drop in college attendance for the GA is magically supposed to be reversed by adding all this low level teams? ok, sounds believable |
How can you say the tide is shifting? GA adding clubs? What big club have they pulled in? |
GA hats living in fantasyland |
I've never seen a parent wearing a GA hat. I've seen all kinds of parents and coaches wearing ECNL hats. Your comment doesn't make sense. Might want to find a better zinger. |

A lot of battling on here. Have you people actually talked to college coaches? Go to their little ID camps - if anything just for fun. Or chat em up at an event WITHOUT talking about your child. They will all tell you - they HAVE to go to BOTH the ECNL and GA events because the talent is at BOTH. They aren’t happy about it either - they’d love for the fighting to stop too. Literally sat on the plane next to the Texas coach after the last event - she said this. Same with Vanderbilt and UNC coaches and few others chatting at an event. All nice. All willing to talk about the silly ECNL v GA battle. All very clear - they gotta recruit at ALL the events. But also admitted the top 10 clubs on both sides were equally good and then starts falling off from there.
GA is very young too and yet is already commanding their attn? Just let it go folks … talent is talent. Be happy if you’re on a good ECNL or GA team. If not, get better and go to a team where you can shine. |
| GA website still has the Nationals plastered all over it. it's clear the GA doesn't have the money or resources to even update their website from a year ago. Most likely on the path to bankruptcy just like the old league. Couldn't compete then, can't compete now. You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig. Keep pretending little piggy parents. |
Just so happened to sit next to the Texas coach and chat with Vanderbilt and UNC at the GA showcase about how great the GA showcase is? That’s so great! |
| LVU Rush out of ECRL goes to GA. New club from ECRL is $$$$! The best move to quality clubs who wants in is, go to ECRL first. Do not go to aspire. All false promises!!!! |
I would think that both Aspire and ECRL clubs with successful teams would be attractive to both GA and ECNL. Which is a good thing for players because ECNL + GA competition is forcing them to bring on the best teams as fast as they can find them. |
Where you see this? |
There is no competition between ECNL top 20 and GA ... there i fixed it |
