I've never heard a GA parent talk about other leagues "watering down" the potential player base. I have heard multiple ECNL parents say that other leagues are watering down the player base. Draw your own conclusions. |
That has been the model of a lot of ECNL clubs for years and why the NE in general is so weak in ECNL. PDA made a name for themselves doing this and other clubs have followed suit. |
Can’t be this dense…Look at pro teams they buy the top prospects. They develop talent but they also bring in better talent. If GA becomes the top league in the girls side they also will bring in top talent from surrounding clubs. Also, the top kids leave clubs to go play in better leagues. College coaches don’t ask a kid where did you develop. They just know where you at and what league you play for currently. They can care less where you developed as a player |

My daughters team has beat e every ECNL team in our state besides 2. If those 2 one is the worst of them all and the other one will not play us as their is some bad blood. No not every GA player feels they need ECNL. |
This is very common, refusing to play teams they may lose to… but every tryout they try hard to recruit the players on that team. They also block that team from ECNL. Thank god for MLSN! |
| you're likely taking about friendlies. no one cares about them. Just like no one cares about the ga. it's the same bankrupt DA league.....da..ga...doesn't matter, bankrupt league, bankrupt soccer. Trash!! |
You seem to care a lot about GA. Why is that? First they ignore you Then they laugh at you Then they fight you Then you win |
This is a midnight post on a Saturday. Guy was drunk and looking to stir the pot. Let him cook! He was probably getting yelled at by his wife a few hours earlier anyway. Guy needs a break. |
well usually the truth comes out when you have had a few too many. I mean, was he wrong? |
Depending on where you are and what your options are, not every good player wants to go to ECNL. There are markets with both strong GA teams and strong ECNL teams. Those girls aren’t leaving for a badge. They’re leaving to join a club that fits for them - both to and from GA and ECNL. Smaller markets with less options - then yeah, your better players are all probably going to be consolidated on one ECNL team. |

ECNL/RL is trumpeting how its snagged a ton of clubs from USYS ...
https://www.soccerwire.com/news/ecnl-regional-league-announces-widespread-expansion-across-the-country/ There are a lot of solid clubs here BUT the mix is very similar to what GA/GA2 has done. The organization losing the most here is USYS. |
there is no "trumpeting" but simply announcing new additions. not sure what the issue is. its good for GA and ECNL to build a second league teams and conferences around the US. if USSoccer had done their job, everything would be under them. |
I just looked through the list and a large amount of the "new" ECRL clubs already had ECNL. I can see 3 reasons why this would occur. 1. ECNL forced clubs to play their second teams in ECRL or get booted from the league. 2. Clubs are getting a second ECRL team 3. ECNL is finally acknowledging that they can't just sit back focusing on ECNL while clubs play their 2nd 3rd etc in random local leagues. What ECNL us trying to do is provide a way for clubs to make $$$ by sticking with ECNL. |
