Did you try going to a u16 or u17 field?

my daughter plays on a u17 pretty good team. the turnout at the spring showcase has always been bad. not sure why they have it. I saw many u19's with only 11 or 12 players. really too late in the game for these kids and many of them over soccer since they are about to graduate and don't want to travel. play was very poor. its getting even more noticeable. not sure if its the coaching or the players.

Where does her team sit at in the table?

At the same time, college rosters are tightening due to scholarship constraints and roster caps, so coaches are being more selective about where they go in person. Also with more players coming from overseas it naturally reduces the number of domestic events.

I’m sure you’ll start to see a year-over-year decrease in ECNL showcase attendance as well, as these same pressures aren’t specific to one platform they’re affecting the entire recruiting landscape.

The economy is top of mind for a lot of people right now.

6 does not equal 1 winning club

Now GA put out a graphic ... great idea ... ECNL can't really complain about it because they would be using an argument that would then discredit their graphic.

GA just posted some interesting stats. I’m impressed that they were so direct with what is an obvious rebuttal to the stats that have been thrown around to support the RL>GA perspective.

GA used to have a page o. their site showing each years committment stats. ECNL used to do the same. Then ECNL stopped posting it so GA stopped as well.

When it was happening GA was claiming 700-1000 college commitments a year and growing. ECNL was good but static which is probabaly why they stopped posting.

Awesome tactic to obviously post your rebuttal with no mention of ECNL or ECRL. Well done!

ENCL's idea to make RL seem better than GA i think is a massive mistake. GA understood ECNL was better and didn't really worry too much about that, but ENCL trying to make RL some super league is a massive overstep in marketing. People are dumb but not that dumb.

Yea GA admins laughing today. Kinda love it. They even threw in the D1 increase as a further jab. Nicely done.

It was a good graphic but just like the ecnl one the stats are so misleading. P4 scouts...there were like 6 schools there. Not a big boast.

My daughter was there. The scout attendance was pretty weak, certainly not worth the cost of travel. I did see a number of GA Hats which I didn't believe existed.

It’s seems we are past the point of ECNL adding additional teams if you look at last year it was finished by mid March.
Was all noise no GA teams leaving.

I would say it just depends on the area.
I would say RL and GA in California are at the same level when you look at all the clubs and teams.

RL is probably slightly better when you consider showcase travel requirements and when they take place as well as RL teams slightly better.

At the GA NC event college coach discussion, Tricia made it abundantly clear that GA would not get into the social media arms race of marginalizing groups of players.

There were plenty of D1 schools there for players to have the opportunity to be exposed to. This all works the same way as ECNL did, the teams which are higher ranked and have higher profile players turn out 20+ scouts at their sidelines. ACC was well with from UVA, VT, Duke, UNC, Wake, Pitt.
