You know Kavanaugh said the same thing. That this was ruining his family and career. I don’t get it. All he ever needed to say was “I am very sorry this happened to her. I don’t believe that I did this
but it was a long time ago when I was doing some heavy drinking so it is possible that it did. I am sorry for her suffering and wish her the best.” Then it would have been OVER. That is what a mature and psychologically stable person would have done.
Instead, Kavanaugh appears to believe that reputation is everything, that you are either Good or Bad, so even a hint of taint regarding something from 35 years ago is RUINING HIS FAMILY AND CAREER.
If he was really drinking as much as Judge’s memoir claims, how could he possibly know what he did or didn’t do?
