Also, I don't know which crazy Payscale poster you are referring to as this is my first time reading this thread and I won't be the last to raise this problem. |
Higher in this thread the Georgetown NPVs have been discussed. They have lots of problems. The best option is to visit a school’s website and review their outcome data. |

UVA... the best university you ever heard of... the best school you could attend...tremendous. You've never seen anything like it... people are saying. |
UChicago, Northwestern, JHU, and Emory, the self labeled 'ivy plus' schools by DCUM strivers. |
Lol here's this poster again. So sorry your kids didn't make it into any of these schools! |
+1. Ivies are soooo overrrated... so we created a term for schools that are TOTALLY just as if not MORE elite and we called it IVY plus. lol |
Emory is not quite at the level of the other schools. I'd say it's accurately rated. If anything UChicago and Northwestern are underrated due to being in the Midwest. And the DC area crowd despises the Midwest. |
Small liberal arts colleges. |
Notre Dame. |
Notre dame probably ha the strongest alumni network outside HYP. People that go there would die for Notre Dame. |
like Declan Sullivan? |
Exactly! |

You all are so misinformed it’s embarrassing. Ivy Plus was coined by Ivy League schools themselves and is used in a limited, official capacity when discussing library exchanges, consortia, faculty conferences, you name it. It’s also a term used by Ivy League alumni associations for networking purposes. Example: http://rmhuc.clubs.harvard.edu/article.html?aid=265 |
