I agree, but I think the writers still provided enough to point people in the direction that these two are happy together in the end. Without having to come out and say he defected. It seems pretty obvious the first time I watched it and even more so after we watching a couple of episodes.

The NK bots are the ones hard pushing the separation ending. It's quite obvious to anyone who actually watched the show and the symbolism to know exactly what the producers and directors meant with the ending.
Spoiler. They live full time in Switzerland. Even my mom picked up on that and she was not nearly as invested in their romances I was. Lol. I didn't realize people didn't come to that same conclusion until I read a couple of message boards. Everyone I know in real life who's watching the show has come to a mutual understanding that's what the ending meant. My biggest issue is they forgot to have them wear the rings. I know the Switzerland shots were done first and the rings weren't written until much later but still. That's a bit sloppy. |
Different people can have different reactions. Doesn’t make them “NK bots”. Your opinion is great. Otherwise, Geez. Take a seat. |
LOL! I have logged more Kdrama hours than I care to admit and it never once crossed my mind that they were together more than the two weeks each year. Just to be sure I wasn't an outlier, I went to my go-to source for Kdrama reviews and she, too, took the ending at face value. "It’s also bittersweet that Se Ri and Jung Hyuk can only see each other 2 weeks in a year, despite even getting a house together in Switzerland. Yet, it’s hopeful because even though they only get 2 weeks together each year, this is still ultimately much more than they’d dared to hope for, when they fell in love with each other. They’d thought their goodbye at the Military Demarcation Line was for good, and they had always been steeling themselves for a forever goodbye. So, to have the chance to spend 2 weeks every single year, with the person whom you thought you’d had to say a forever goodbye to, feels like an annual precious second chance. And with this annual second chance, perhaps our lovebirds will eventually even be able to make bigger and longer plans for a shared future. Yes, that future is even more vague than it is for the average couple, but perhaps that very uncertainty is what spurs them on to cherish what they have together in the present moment, all the more." https://thefangirlverdict.com/2020/03/06/review-crash-landing-on-you/comment-page-1/#comments We can be consoled that IRL they share a house together. https://kbizoom.com/hyun-bin-and-son-ye-jin-secretly-sold-their-house-in-seoul/ |
Like the poster above said we can all have different ideas of the ending. It was purposely left open for interpretation to appease both sides. I think there's more than enough evidence to point that they are together given the series as a whole and not just her one line about the two weeks. But for those that want to take the two weeks at face value in perpetuity that line is there for them to hang on if they must. |
In other word "It's open to interpretation but yours is wrong." Nice. |
Your a little prickly huh? It's. A. Show. Take for what you want. 20 pages saying they're separated and a few people have different opinions and they're told they're wrong? Gotcha. If you want to believe they're separated, believe it. No one is stopping you. Lol |
I don’t think it was open to interpretation at all. I think this is all wishful thinking that they live together in Switzerland full time or more than two weeks a year. It’s a nice thought, but that’s your version, not the one the show presented. |
Pot meet kettle. |
I know who you’re talking about-Yoo Yeon-seok. I was slightly let down though in Hospital Playlist, because he’s the total opposite of his character in Mr. Sunshine! I think I preferred his gritty samurai persona and unkempt hair, compared to his perfect Kdrama bowl haircut ![]() |
Watching Yoo Yeon Seok play the drums for Canon gives me great joy. I have rewatched that scene countless times. (Season 1, episode 4, last 12 minutes of the episode.) Love it so much. I've watched about 40 kdramas now, and Goo Dong Mae is still one of the most memorable and heartbreaking characters I've seen. He is the Tim Riggins of kdrama. |
OMG CONGRATS! |
Ha! As soon as I saw your post, I knew what it must mean. Indeed, congratulations to them! CLOY was a beautiful drama, but it's clear now why it had that X factor that made it so special. |
THE LEADS ARE GETTING MARRIED! |
Lol. Someone beat me to the post. |
