Why? Do you have no morals? Would you accept the same behavior in your immediate circle of friends or by family members? Would you engage in this type of behavior? Why do you find it acceptable in an elected leader?

A bunch of liberals on a jury in New York got an opportunity to rule against Trump, and they took it.

This department store for some reason was empty on some undetermined day, and Trump and Carroll went unnoticed through the store, into an open dressing room, when these are usually locked and have to be opened by an attendant.

This was Bergdorf Goodman's not Target.
Dressing rooms in the 1990's in high end stores were not locked.

Also, one of the jurors was a MAGA.

DP. Of course they were. High end stores always had/have a dressing room attendant, not only to unlock the doors, but also to assist in pulling different sizes, if needed. Barneys, Neimans, Saks, Nordstrom. Oh, and Bergdorf's.

I've walked many times into a quiet empty, unlocked dressing room in Saks or Nordstrom so no, they aren't always staffed with a dressing room attendant and locked doors.

I don't remember doors in dressing rooms in general being locked until early 2000s, maybe....it was not at all routine to be locked the way they are now.

Carroll writes in her book that they usually were locked. Of course she may have forgotten what it was like before and only remembered what she noticed recently.

No matter. It's generally pretty common to find an unlocked dressing room door if the doors don't automatically swing shut and relock. I recall nursing my son easily in a Saks dressing room ten years ago where I walked in and nobody was around and it was blissfully peaceful. Large dept stores often have one sales attendant covering a whole section of the floor so they are usually on the floor and you hunt them down if the door is locked, or just use the dressing room if it's not. I don't remotely find it unbelievable to access an unlocked dressing room in a fancy dept store back then. People are just making up reasons to disbelieve her, but this assertion doesn't disprove anything to me, a not particularly rich shopper who occasionally browses in nicer dept stores.

Same - I shopped in NYC in the 90s and I don't remember having to ask for dressing rooms to be unlocked. I wasn't shopping at the super fancy places all that often - but it's not like never. This detail does not strike me as implausible. And, it didn't strike the jury that way, either. Seems like it would have been easy enough for Trump to call an expert to testify about the dressing room locking habits at this story, back then, if he thought it would be persuasive in convincing anyone that he didn't grab women by the p*y any old time he wanted to.

Roll your eyes all you want because I was shopping at Saks in Chevy Chase and Neimans, Mazza Gallerie and dressing rooms were not locked. The only place that was locked was the fur department and there you did need an attendant.

If you had shopped there you would have known this, wouldn't you?

Glad to see so many Republicans standing up for women's rights to be safe in dressing rooms, since this is such a big issue for them.

Oh wait.

LOL yeah, that is funny, isn't it. The only way they might care is if Trump wore a dress while sexually assaulting women in a dressing room. And even then, they would still give him a pass, because MAGA Trump God.

There would also be employees around to notice things. This is more likely to happen in a Target.

Actually, find it's the opposite. Target is so busy, it has a dedicated person at the dressing room constantly asking for your number of items, managing the discarded giant pile of items. Dept stores like Bergdorf, Saks, Nordstrom, etc. tend to have 1-2 people dedicated to a dept/section of the entire floor and they might be stocking the floor or ringing someone up and you find them when you need a dressing room. Back in the 90s, you didn't need to find them, you just went in the dressing room at your leisure. They might keep an eye out to check on you if you need help or a different size, but those dressing rooms are large and quiet and luxe, sometimes floor to ceiling so you don't see underneath.

Have you ever been in a ritzy department store? Far more employees for number of customers.. And, in the '90's there would likely have been more.

Yes I have. Disagree. Really depends on time of day, staffing, etc. I stand by what I said, usually it's 1-2 people on a particular section of floor and they may not notice if someone goes into dressing room depending on what they're doing. Also used yo visit my sister who worked at Lord and Taylor. Back around this time was when I was shopping for wedding guest dresses somewhat frequently and would go to Nordstrom or Saks and try stuff on. I would have to hunt the floor person if the door was locked but if the door isn't the swing shut kind, it will be easily opened. I'm the person who posted about nursing my baby in a Saks which was 9 years ago, I just walked right in the dressing room and settled in, distinct memory of chatting with my husband afterwards about how nice of a spot it was to nurse if you were at a mall with a kid.

Anonymous wrote:Amazing to see the MAGA spin and cope, trying to make Trump being found guilty of sexual assault, and malicious defamation. Yet the MAGAs are trying to make this somehow about "leftists" and "Dems."

Sorry but this has nothing to do with leftists or Dems. It's about one and only one thing, Trump's acts and deeds. Trump has been a shytty person for his entire life. And now it's finally catching up to him.

There is no guilty or innocent in civil suits. They could not find him 'guilty' (using your terms)of rape, given her statements. What they did was simply believe her over him - there is no proof of any kind, just words. And of course leftist juries will find him 'guilty' (your words) in a lower Manhattan court of law. No one believed any jury in NYC would find him 'not guilty' (your terms).

The malicious defamation bit is going to be fun, given all the things stated about say, Don Jr., being on coke, etc, and left on this board. And I know a news individual constantly being called a liar here (no, not Tucker ) who could easily come after this board for malicious defamation. And others as well, given the stories written were not only true, but brought down some pretty important people. The problem with situations like this (allowed due to a changing of a law no less) is that they can spectacularly backfire. Ask Harry Reid.

Let us just note that Don Jr. never went after anyone for calling him a coke fiend because... he'd lose. And your "news individual" probably is in fact a liar - sorry to break it to you, but Tucker certainly isn't the only prolific and habitual liar in conservative media.

Tell the DA and other officials, who were fired due to their cover ups. LOL. No doubt all of the Trumps would lose in NYC. How impartial would you be, for instance?

The deposition video:

"unfortunately... or fortunately..."

Tells you all you need to know. He couldn't think fast enough to stop himself from saying that there was a "fortunately" part to stars being able to grab women in the genitals whenever they want.

About 4 years ago I was in a dresssing room at Neimans and was trying on dresses. I movement and there was a mirror face up under the door. It quickly disappeared and when I opened the door, I saw a man running out of the area. No one else noticed.
