Why hold a pro-gun rally *on* MLK Day?

Instead of reflecting on his great work and words we will be worried about more gun violence. It’s disrespectful at a minimum. It’s blatant hate & racism at worst.

Disgusting.

Lol is this your first time hearing about lobby day? I know you hate rights, so I guess we can add the right to assembly to your list of evil.

Holding a pro-gun rally on MLK Day is disgusting. That’s probably a bigger draw to the white supremacists than the gun rights. Have fun with your very fine friends.

Imagine if all those protesters were black and marching in camouflage with guns. Imagine the conservative heads that would explode at seeing pictures of armed black dudes. Imagine the reaction on Fox News.

Mmmmm, no. You're projecting your own racism.

I'm in favor of everyone being armed. white, black, brown, red, yellow, olive, albino, rainbow, doesn't matter. I want everyone able to protect themselves, not just from ordinary petty criminals, but from ordinary petty dictators.

That's what y'all don't understand about the gun culture. We don't care who you are - if you understand the right to be armed, then we're just brothers from other mothers.

This may be you - let's for the sake of argument accept that it accurately reflects your beliefs.

Are you asserting that this is true for all, or even a majority, of the the people marchng today, and/or conservatives? That they want every AA male to own and carry a firearm?

If you really claim that, you are either dangerously naive or transparently disingenuous. Only you know which.

Go to the big gun show in Chantilly, VA some weekend and see for yourself. It's probably the only place I can think of where black guys in their 20's can walk around with a AR15 slung over their shoulder amid a crowd of 50-something white folks and no one pays them any mind.

So much for your "gun owners are racist" stereotype.

Yeah I too find the liberal racist stereotyping quite tiresome. I am Asian and go to the NRA range quite often and it is a very diverse and friendly crowd. If anything the anti gun crowd is overwhelmingly white women and feminized men.

I see more diversity at the Chantilly gun shows than i do walking around Clarendon on a Saturday night.
*im not kidding*

You are correct that we don't understand "gun culture." We don't understand why there is even such a thing.

Would you like a list of countries in the world with more freedoms than us that have stricter gun controls alphabetically or by size of GDP?

So after you're made aware of your own ignorance of the subject, your reaction isn't to gain a better understanding of it before continuing to argue, it's to even question why a different opinion from yours even exists.

That pretty much says everything about you right there.

The only diversity they know about is Don Lemon on CNN telling them why guns are so bad.

Besides that, they aren’t willing to learn and rather stay in their bubble world where everyone but them is oppressed and gun owners are all rednecks.

That really tells us all we need to know about you.

I know, right?! What a tool

I agree with her. Feminized men is the appropriate term. Men who behave like women.

I don't want men behaving like women. I want men to act like men.

It's not about diversity. It's about a bunch of men scared of getting a background check.
Anonymous
And it is also about men who need more than 12 guns a year and the need to bring them into public events.

Or domestic abusers.

Domestic abusers have been federally prohibited from owning a gun since 1994. It's called the Lautenberg Amendment. Google it.

You don't even realize you're demanding things that have already existed longer than most millennials, lolz!

Seriously, get a clue.

So buying 12 guns means I'm ok, but suddenly I become a potential monster if I buy 13?

Fascinating!!!

So. Much. This.

The mainstream media and gun confiscators must be inwardly disappointed that today’s rally in Richmond was peaceful and law-abiding. All attempts at inciting violence failed. Attempts at perpetuating the stereotype of gun owners as extremist and racist white nut jobs has also failed...

I noticed today that MSNBC would label it as a white supremascist event and only show large helicopter views. But there are several local media and online media outlets showing that the event was actually very diverse.

Typical fear-mongering media. I say this as a liberal, not a conservative.

You sound like a true liberal.

The D Party these days is full of fake liberals.

Who defines what "behaving" like a woman is?

What's your standard for "very diverse"?
