Their HHI is about $280K, so after taxes they'd have what, $180 or so. It's possible they could pay two tuitions ($80K), but it would be tough to support four people on $100K paying for two CC memberships, mortgage on $1.2 mil house, cars, food, clothing, insurance, entertainment, sports tickets, vacations, alcohol, bar tabs, etc.

Hate to break it to you, but Catholic grade school tuition is nowhere near $40k.

DP. If their HHI is $280k, and his parents give him and his wife $60k, which isn't taxable so it's more like $100k, that's a gross HHI income of close to $400,000. I know this is DCUM and all, but that's wealthy. They could easily afford Catholic school tuition and a $1.2 million house. Depending on the costs of the CC memberships, it's certainly doable.

This seems significant, one of them is Louisa Garry, who has been a vocal supporter and even appeared in his commercial.

Death threats will do that to a girl.

Source for the motivation being death threats?

+1 The only person who has been documented as having received death threats is Christine Blasey Ford (who had to move out of her house with her spouse and kids).

They make $280K together. She’s the neighborhood manager and makes around $60K and he makes around $225K.

This was all covered ad nauseam in July when he released his financial statements and there are multiple very long threads just about the financial stuff.

Nope. Liberals have been sending death threats to Mrs. Kavanaugh.

I am as anti-Trump is the next person. However, I do understand that people are convicting BK with little to no evidence. That said why don’t earth would she make it up? Her life is being threatened and obviously will never be the same, or at least not for a long while. It’s not like she claimed he raped her... So why would she make up this sort of middle of the road story? It’s not like she is some crazed Democrat and everyone knows that if this guy doesn’t make it there will be another one in line. So what would be her motive?

Her motive would be to keep an anti-abortion judge off the Court. She is a very liberal California professor who hired a well-known liberal activist to help her accomplish this.

She’s really not that liberal. And really has no background in politics. It’s a stretch to say that she would put her life and her family’s life on the line like this if there were no truth to it.

Plus there are dozens of people now coming forward to say that the Ramirez accusation is not at all out of character.

We shall see...

Any cites for this?

The New Yorker article quotes at least half a dozen people who are saying they could envision this happening and that Ramirez was a quiet, shy outsider who often got taken advantage of in situations like these.. Combine that with those who talk about what kind of crew he ran with at GP - and the yearbook stuff - and it does look somewhat incriminating.

I absolutely admit there are a lot of others who say they can’t envision it. I just find it very unlikely that either of these women made these stories up. It just makes no sense that they would have.

In my reading of the article, only the anonymous classmate says it. Krasberg doesn't say it, nor does Richard Oh, both of whom are mentioned by name. At the end, the story discusses six classmates, three of whom are anonymous, who dispute Ramirez's story and say it would have been out of character for Brett..

Please tell us who the other five people are in the article besides anonymous classmate who say they could envision Kavanaugh doing this.

Oh says he remembers the incident being discussed but doesn't remember the female student's name.

James Roche , Kavanaugh's fmr roommate - "I simply cannot imagine her making this up... he was frequently incoherently drunk. Would it be possible he'd be part of a group of guys who assaulted an outsider like Debbie? Definitely."

A third classmate - "I absolutely believe it could have happened."

there are others but I don't have time right now. Is this definitive evidence? no. Does it corroborate what I said above, that classmates could envision him doing it? 100%

I can't be the only woman who thinks it's no big deal that a drunk horny teenager tried (unsuccessfully) to get in some girl's pants. I encountered my share of unwanted sexual advances over the years and a few regrettable experiences as well, and went on to have a happy and productive life without malice towards anyone. Anyone?

I thought so little of these boy/men that I mentally dismissed them immediately. If I tried really hard, I probably could dredge up a memory more concrete than my disgust over their behavior.

The guy who tried to strangle me on the other hand....

So this is as bad as trying to strangle you, OK?

It's in the class of the Ford allegation but not the Ramirez allegation, which is more in the first category. I didn't report, but I told a couple of college classmates. If there was reason much later to come forward I would first check with them to see if they remembered. if it was lost in the mists of time for them, I would not come forward because...no corroboration.

Judge Kavenaugh very recently owed 200k in credit card debt-that debt suddenly was paid by undisclosed sources. Who is he beholden to for it? Last time I checked Avenatti wasn't trying to get on the supreme court.

There was never $200k in credit card debt. Read your talking points a little more closely.

Between 60k and 200k on multiple cards and a loan. Both accrued and paid off mysteriously.

You do understand that "between $60k and $200k" is the check box on the form, right? If you owe $61k or $199k, you check the same box.

Kavanaugh could explain this appearance of impropriety. It's entirely possible he put his friends Nats tix on his credit card to get points and they reimbursed him. But he needs to explain!

Did you read the article? Please tell me you don’t think the man spent $60k on baseball tickets. And his “friends” paid him back.

6 seats would be $39K a year. It asks for Total debt, so the $60k could be anything. I could see 3 guys wanting 2 seats each, one guy buying them and the other 2 paying him back later, i've done it with NFL tickets

Annual dues to Congressional run around $6500, but typically members end up spending more than that for other services.

So Kavanaugh is going on Fox News to play the victim card and answer a bunch of softball questions. It will be a nice infomercial.

Judge Kavanaugh will be on the Martha McCallum show tonight at 7:00. Some clips have already been shown.

He was a virgin through his high school and college years.
