It wasn’t written cruelly, but it was noted that kind Debbie Martinez was a gentle outsider, and that Kavanaugh and friends were manipulative, hard-partying wolves. Really hard to see how anyone can discount the story - there was hearsay corroboration, and this isn’t a criminal trial. It just has laid bare the entitlement that has been the foundation of his life.

He and his wife are going to just say the other women all decided to lie? Quite a strategy.

Yes, his wife will say she has never witnessed this type of behavior and her husband is a saint.

I still want to know how they are living in Chevy Chase on a judge’s salary paying two private tuitions and a country club membership.

My understanding is that his parents are wealthy and he is an only child.

But if he were given gifts by his parents, wouldn't he have to disclose those on his taxes and pay taxes on them?

I know a Reagan-appointed judge who was given a free membership in the Chevy Chase club back in the 80s. Maybe the CC club gives out free memberships to Republican judges??

If the CC club gives you a free membership, do you have to report that as a gift based on the "retail" value of that membership? Do you have to pay taxes on that free membership?

The recipient does not have to disclose gifts. The giver does, and then only over a certain amount.

Rich parents.

Their HHI is about $280K, so after taxes they'd have what, $180 or so. It's possible they could pay two tuitions ($80K), but it would be tough to support four people on $100K paying for two CC memberships, mortgage on $1.2 mil house, cars, food, clothing, insurance, entertainment, sports tickets, vacations, alcohol, bar tabs, etc.

Their financial statement said they only have $30K in savings. That would make sense given their income and expenses. But maybe their rich parents are the "savings account" they're counting on.

Is he waiting for his requests to be met, which seems unlikely given how protective the GOP us. I cannot see how anything can happen on Thursday until we get the ball rolling with the newest accusers-from Yale, Avenatti's person or people and a potential 4th who may be coming forward.

Open the flood gates and may all the victims come forward. I guarantee you there are plenty more.

I am sure CNN knows. That is his megaphone.
#CreepyPornLawyer

Oh, and Thursday is on. Grassley is tired of the games.

Grassley knew that Kavanaugh is accused of participating in a gang rape. He ought to resign.

By a #CreepyPornLawyer. No evidence. No names. Just accusations on Twitter.
I am betting investigators are currently checking into the claims and it will turn out to be a big #Nothingburger.
I truly believe we are starting to see the destruction of the Democratic party from within.

This is an amusing sentence. Really, made me lol

If anyone is a creepy porn guy it's Kavanaugh who drafted the memos to Ken Starr during the Clinton case in the 90's. It seems that he requested a bizarre level of prurient details in his questions of and for Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky case:

To Judge Starr Date 8/15/98

From. Brett M. Kavanaugli-BK

Subject Slack for the President?

He should be forced to account for all of that and to defend his actions. It may not be
ourjob to impose sanctions on him, but it is o_urjob to make his pattern of revolting behavior
clear -- piece by painful piece -— on Monday. I am mindful of the need for respect for the Oflice
of the President. But in my view, given what we know, the interests of the Ofiice of the President
,'
would be best served by our gathering the full facts regarding the actions of this President so that
the Congress can decide whether the interests of the Presidency would be best served by having a
new President. More to the point: Aren't we failing to fulfill our duty to the American people if
we willingly "conspire" with the President in an effort to conceal the true nature of his acts?
***

In light of all of that, I suggest at least some questions along the following lines (I leave
the best phrasing to others).
Did you tell Monica Lewinsky that she should deny the nature of the relationship that you
and she had?
If Monica Lewinsky says that you agreed to lie about your relationship with her, would
she be lying?
Would Monica Lewinsky be lying if she said that you told her after her name appeared on
the witness list: "You could always say you were coming to see Betty or that you were bringing
me letters"?
If Monica Lewinsky says that you inserted a cigar into her vagina while you were in the
Oval Ofiice area, would she be lying?

If Monica Lewinsky says that you had phone sex with her on approximately 15 occasions,
would she be lying?
If Monica Lewinsky says that on several occasions in the Oval Office area, you used your
fingers to stimulate her vagina and bring her to orgasm, would she be lying?

If Monica Lewinsky says that she gave you oral sex on nine occasions in the Oval Office
area, would she be lying?
If Monica Lewinsky says that you ejaculated into her mouth on two occasions in the Oval
Office area, would she be lying?

If Monica Lewinsky says that on several occasions you had her give her oral sex, made her
stop, and then ejaculated into the sink in the bathroom ofi” the Oval Office, would she be lying?
If Monica Lewinsky says that you masturbated into a trashcan in your secretary's office,
would she by lying?

Judge Kavenaugh very recently owed 200k in credit card debt-that debt suddenly was paid by undisclosed sources. Who is he beholden to for it? Last time I checked Avenatti wasn't trying to get on the supreme court.

There was never $200k in credit card debt. Read your talking points a little more closely.

Between 60k and 200k on multiple cards and a loan. Both accrued and paid off mysteriously.

You do understand that "between $60k and $200k" is the check box on the form, right? If you owe $61k or $199k, you check the same box.

Poor Bretty. Such an innocent! Crying on FOX News...give me a break! This guy has no shame.

This seems significant, one of them is Louisa Garry, who has been a vocal supporter and even appeared in his commercial.

Source for the motivation being death threats?

Did you read the article? Please tell me you don’t think the man spent $60k on baseball tickets. And his “friends” paid him back.

Hate to break it to you, but Catholic grade school tuition is nowhere near $40k.

Louisa Garry was receiving death threats? That’s terrible. Do you have a link?

It’s about $10K for each student.

Where was it reported that they’re Congo members in addition to the Chevy Chase Club?

My sister went to a non-elite catholic high school 15 years ago and it was 30k.

Blessed Sacrament is probably 20k total.

Does a judge really make $280k? Seems high...
