To clarify, not weekend. The stretch from Wednesday-Sunday that I call "thanksgiving weekend" even though it's 5 days. |
The mom who has two kids, is divorcing and dad lives overseas, and just cannot get her life together. Can't pay bills but won't get another job or a roommate to save money. Can't afford daycare so figured maybe she would just send the youngest kid, a baby, off to live with dad for a couple years because surely dad would give him back and the kid would have no lasting damage from knowing mom kept his sister but sent him away. Also somehow thinks she should enter a masters program for nursing or something despite ALREADY being unable to provide for her kids and find childcarex |
Yay! Hi! |
I don't remember reading this before on DCUM, but I love this idea! |
No. That is 26% of DCUM. |
Groundhog on the religion forum.
So named because predictably every year just before Christmas s/he emerges to advance the view that Christmas is a pagan solstice holiday, Christianity is a rehash of Mithraism, and Jesus is a warmed over Horus. |
The shrill, hysterical old lady who accuses any poster who has the unmitigated gall to critique Israel of being a rabid anti-semite. |
I believe that’s the poster known as “Linda”. |
This is too funny—I remember “vagina list” lady. She loves to pop up in birth threads and tell us how she told her MIL she couldn’t be present at the birth. Which is fine, but she tells the exact same anecdote the exact same way, thread after thread. |
There is one (or maybe a handful of) posters in Food who always criticize others’ holiday menu because “where are your casseroles?!” Beyond stuffing, my family hates casseroles, especially with canned soups. I can have 15 awesome dishes for my Thanksgiving line-up, and he’s after me about the damn casseroles. |
Yes. I started thinking she had to be a troll, but I'm not sure. None of it makes sense. |
I am not that person but I hate when I post our menus and I'm told it is "old fashioned". We like very traditional foods on Thanksgiving. If we're happy with it then I don't see what the problem is. |
PP here and I agree! If creamed onions and rutabaga are your thing, go for it. We see enough fancy stuff at restaurants. Jiffy corn casserole is not on a restaurant menu, sadly! |
There is the poster who likes to pop up every time someone mentions running, to warn people that running will make them look old and ugly.
I would love to see her picture. |
The publicist in Beauty & Fashion who, thankfully, hasn’t been around as much of late. |
