Is Perimenopause Symptoms Poster too famous for this thread? |
Well, obviously! She raised FIVE kids, after all. |
I can't get over the lady who has her guests drive to Burger King for Holiday meals because she only cooks once a day and the kitchen is closed afterwards. I just keep trying to imagine her son telling his wife she's not allowed to eat dinner on Christmas because his mom will have a fit if she finds a fingerprint on the stainless fridge. I really wish she would do an AMA because I have so many questions! |
The stepmother whose husband had 3 (or 4) kids with his ex. The ex who cheated and interfered with the dad’s visitation. And her husband was so saintly that he kept paying CS and alimony well beyond what was required to be paid. The ex was cut off when she tried to take the husband to court to request more money. Oh and of course the three older kids only talked to the dad when they wanted money.
Any time there is a post about children of divorce she’s righ there telling her story. |
I'd like to give a shoutout to my rabid UVA boosters, who view the school as the pinnacle of their children's success in life and possibly their own parenting success. Y'all make me LOL and I wish that all of your children go to Mr. Jefferson's University. Ditto to my TJ moms, whose children turned down Exeter AND Sidwell AND, like, whatever else there is that you think we'd be impressed by. Love you guys! |
YES!! I want to punch that guy. There's also the one that promotes some Christian counseling thing that I can't remember the name. |
“Declare an open marriage” on relationships forum. There was a woman in expectant moms who was super concerned about pelvic floor damage and seemed to think that there was a conspiracy to conceal it from pregnant women and that a medical person “letting” a woman push for more than a couple pushes was in on that conspiracy. |
Also in the world of anxious posters, there was a pregnant woman whose anxiety was so bad that she was still taking hormone injections and was convinced that her good test results were wrong. On the jobs board there was also the 40-something year old doc reviewer whose anxiety is untreatable by any means medical or behavioral but so severe that he’s not able to get a different job.
Both those people got a ton of really supportive sincere advice but rejected it all and the people got frustrated. |
The poster who never wanted children but had them in order to “keep her husband” because he wanted them. Her husband agreed to do most of the childcare. |
The poster in real estate who always talks about how she used to live in the DC area (MoCo?) but now lives in a planned community in Florida and goes on and on about how great it is... |
I remember her! When I was pregnant with my first there was a poster who asked, probably 10 times, whether she should go with the WHC midwives, the GW midwives, or the GW OBs. She couldn't seem to pick, and ultimately people realized that this poster was one person with crippling anxiety. She'd have a kid a little younger than mine, and I sometimes wonder where she is. Also, the Caltech-loving-University-of-Chicago-hating person in the college forum. |
I like her! I’m 37 with one kid, I’m a wohm, so not much in common, but I like her posts a lot! |
That's me. Sorry you can't stand my life choices. |
That sounds like fun to me! |
