I thought there were some interesting updates including a vm to the 2nd housekeeper Wednesday night

and
The police documents also show what appears to be an unusual amount of activity last week around the victims’ Woodland Drive home, in an upscale neighborhood near the vice president’s mansion. Neighbors reported seeing a man banging on door of one home, an aggressive vacuum cleaner salesman at another house, reports of a prowler, and what a witness believed could have been the Savopouloses’ blue Porsche speeding down the street the day before the deaths were discovered.

That article definitely has a lot of new info. Sounds like both housekeepers had worked for the family for a long time. It seems very strange that the housekeeper spent the night since the 2nd housekeeper said the former would "never" spend the night. Also odd that Savvas asked her to inform the other housekeeper's family because her phone battery was dead..why didn't he inform them himself?

Quoting myself..it's possible Savvas didn't inform the family because he didn't speak Spanish? The article says the housekeeper gave these statements in Spanish.

But theoretically the housekeeper was nearby..wouldn't she have/know the #? She could've called from one of their phones. I dunno, I may be reading into it too much.

Seems obvious that they were being held captive, said the housekeeper would be coming over, and were instructed to tell her to stay away. The second housekeeper was obviously also being held captive, and they said she was staying overnight to explain why she wasn't going home.

I actually think that's a pretty valid point, people in their late 40's in a large house are not the demographics that have completely done away with landlines. I'm assuming they still had one because well, I think it makes sense, but why couldn't she have just picked up the landline and called herself if her battery was legitimately dead?

I wonder if the wife and housekeeper were killed on Wednesday.
Anonymous
It does seem that whatever was going on, it clearly started on Wednesday.

Yeah, why wouldn't the housekeeper who was staying the night call her family herself? Using a landline or whatever phone the husband was using to call the other housekeeper right then? That is definitely shady in the extreme. And that housekeeper's husband came to the house on Thursday morning looking for her and knocked on the door. If autopsies show that at least the housekeeper was dead as of Wednesday evening, does that mean the husband was at least partially responsible?? What if he did the blunt force to the three other victims and then killed himself? Too far fetched?

They probably didn't let the housekeeper call her family because she usually speaks to them in Spanish, and the perpetrators wouldn't have been able to understand what she was saying.

The captors didn't trust the housekeeper to call her husband herself, as she'd speak to him in Spanish. Additionally, the housekeepers husband might ask questions if they called him directly. Asking the other housekeeper to let him know avoids that. It's spooky that both an assistant and the deceased housekeepers husband went to the home Thursday morning but no one answered. I really hope some answers are uncovered soon. I live fairly close to the house and noticed a lot of security system contractors in the neighborhood today - people are frightened...

I remember reading they had just moved back and we're doing renovations (I could be wrong). I doubt they'd have a landline yet or if so are like me and have triple play but no phone for the landline.

How would it make the husband responsible? If he was responsible then who drove the Porsche off and burned it?

After working in someone's home for 20 years, you learn a lot about them. If she said his voice was tense and he was acting out of character, I'm sure something very serious started on Wednesday. The only moods more readable to me than my employers are my siblings and my child.

They then killed everyone and set the fire to cover up the crime. The surviving maid did not want to be identified on TV and she seemed very cold during the interview (she spoke but face was covered). She said that the dead maid told her she wanted to retire as she did not want to work there forever. just seems weird.

Interesting theory…
