So snipers get to come home and kill people, beat people, and accuse the federal government of killing dozens of Americans without due process?

We ask them to do atrocious thinks to protect our county, lack the ability to manage mental illness when they return, then you sit iny our warm homes with your high speed internet and degrees you don't use judging them.

He was a simplistic minded person whose dichotomous view of the world (us good, them.bad, ooga booga) allowed him to take delight in killing other human beings. I absolutely feel comfortable criticizing people like him, including the mouth breathing opportunists in our government who led us into an unjustified war by exploiting the ignorant prejudices of people like him, and which accomplished nothing more than to make us less safe. Chris Kyle loved what he did; no one asked him to do shit. He's not MY hero.

Classic dcum judgmentalism.

No. I'm just a person who can think critically, and for myself - not a flag waving, unquestioning sheep. Baa-aaa!

No, you come across as a mannered poser, actually. Or a troll. I'll see the film and determine its value.

Go for it. See the film. It's not a documentary, it's entertainment, and it doesn't change the basic facts of who Chris Lyle was, what he did, and the disgusting ways he glorified his acts in his book.

Chris LYLE? If you are going to denigrate the man's name, at least get it right.

Liberals make me sick.

You are on a web forum based in Washington, DC. Why don't you create your own in your community:

"Spotsillvania Mom & Dads" " quantico Mom and Dads" . 99% of the people in the District of Columbia are not going to see your position on guns or the Iraq war as a rational one. So why come on here ? To be opositional ? To vent your anger? what ?

I'm not asking people to see my point of view. I'm simply asking them not to lie about the man. It's pretty easy to go online and see one of his many interview for yourself, to listen to the man's words, listen to how he talks about the good people of Iraq and how proud he was to protect them, as well as protecting his own men.

You don't have to like the war. You don't have to like guns. To use those as a reason to disparage a man is not something I would be defending, never mind be proud of.

Not only are you comparing apples to oranges but you can not use racism if a white person's opinion is different than yours. No one here said MLK is a fake, they prefer segregation, etc... THAT is racism. Not thinking Kyle is more important to them at this time.

If I am white am I not allowed to say Larry Bird is better than Michael Jorda? 99% of the country could disagree with me but it does not mean I am racist. If I said "I don't think blank people should be in basketball." That is racist.

Why people can't understand the difference is why race is brought into every news story.

No...it derailed when some smartass brought up that AS did better than Selma.

But it isn't racist. It was showing that people do think a vet can be a hero, not just MLK.

Yeah, right. That's why he posted box office results for two movies, instead of comparing the accomplishments of the two men.

Wow you libs sure are upset about this box office crap.

Its kind of funny that you are holding up baathists as your heroes. Did Iraq create a vaccium and could it have been handled better yes. But to hold sadaam and the baathists up as heroes ( do you remember he invaded a neighbor, tortured people?) shows how relativistic the world has become. You know eventually Saudi Arabia is coming down right? And things will get bad before they get better? North Korea will end. Venezuela. No one has anything against the people who love there but these kinds of.political systems are unsustainable and we need a president who understands the long term picture of how to manage such volatility. Gw was probably too aggressive, Obama sticks his head in the sand. Doesn't change the fact that none of these are good guys.

The world is going to hell in a handbasket and its not all GWs fault.

Let's see, IRAN, N KOREA, VENEZUELA, SYRIA, TERRORIST CELLS IN FRANCE, new vacuum in AFGHANISTAN, PAKISTAN, UKRAINE.

OH I forgot YEMEN and Saudi Arabia's MASSIVE UNDER 26 population. That's not going to be pretty.

All on Obama's watch, as they would be on any presidents.

Be glad we have trained snipers, friend.

the movie is entertainment folks. its not a political ad campaign.

stop trying to wrap this movie as some conservative super hero movie. its not that serious.

and if you are liberal/democrat relax and stop trying to use this movie as some attempt to trash W or whoever.

yall probably cant watch the super bowl without dragging politics into it. just because fringe conservatives and democrats with nothing better to do with themselves try to shout and make points about the movie, doesnt mean you need to be dragged into it either. thankfully, while i am a demcorat, none of the nonsense i am hearing makes me not want to see the movie. i can try to enjoy the movie on its own and have opinions about the main characters life independently.

I agree. It's really not a political issue. It's more about common sense and values and what type of news and entertainment we choose to consume and pass on to our families. Personally I find someone lying and bragging about killing is not in line with my beliefs. There are many other patriots veterans and soldiers who are more in line with my beliefs and I choose to learn about their stories.

The Political issue about if we should have been in Iraq, etc. is related but I think the main point of the story was one person's experience.

Except Kyle isn't doubt this. The left is saying he is.

But I guess if you think killing terrorists is bad, I can see your point?..

We invaded the wrong country. Iraq would have never made this list.

This is what I think, too. Whether the guy really did take it upon himself to climb the Superdome and kill 30 displaced people, or whether he lied about it as part of his sick racist I-kill-them-whut-needs-killin' fantasy, it's totally distasteful.

I forgot boko haram/nigeria. Doesn't matter the country - he did his job in Iraq, other snipers will be sent to handle the eventual chaos in some of these places as they disintegrate and threaten us no hope for peaceful transformation and/or staying out of it and zero impact on us but neither seems to be happening on the president watch. Be glad we have them trained and ready to go.

If it were not for them, you would not be able to voice your very ignorant opinion on this forum. BAAAAA
