Totally agree. But then it would lay bare the fact that this has nothing to do with religion, and is in fact your standard white supremacy at work. These white Europeans want to claim some ancient ownership of this land, the brown people that actually live there won't just roll over and die, but because we're talking about white Europeans, the West looks the other way while they attempt to exterminate the indigenous people residing on the land.

I’m just going to copy and paste my previous question because no one bothered answering it last time:

Explain, in detail, why you think Israel, a country that is 20% non-Jewish Arab and 32% Mizrahi (or to put it in words you can understand, “brown people”) is WHITE SUPREMACIST. That’s not even getting into the fact that the Ahskenazi Jewish population descends from holocaust survivors who were persecuted specifically for being non-white/aryan.

Who defines what white is? If someone has white skin why are they not considered white?

I’m telling you that fully 50% or more of Israeli citizens have skin as brown as your stereotypical Palestinian (although plenty of Palestinians look white as well). If you saw them side by side you would not be able to tell them apart. So explain to me how Israel is specifically a white supremacist project.

The only time Jewish people even attempt to distance themselves from whiteness is when someone is calling Israel out for what it is. It's awfully convenient.

Again, you’re not answering any of my questions, because you can’t. I’m not “trying to distance myself” from whiteness. Frankly I don’t have a choice in the matter because I am 100% Iranian and look Iranian. I’m telling you it’s an actual indisputable fact that about 50% of Israelis don’t have what YOU would apparently consider to be white skin (assuming you are PP, you said Palestinians are brown people).

White supremacy is ugly, you're right!

Brown skinned people are currently and historically discriminated against more than whites. Why would anyone with white skin be considered anything other than white? Is this 1940s Nazi Germany?

You think this is about literal skin color? Thats not how whiteness works dear. I'm a black woman with skin lighter than a lot of white people. Still not white.

Most Israelis are of European descent. Most American Jews are of European descent. They consider themselves white until it is convenient not to be.

So because Hitler said white Jews weren’t white, we are perpetuating this nonsense?

I genuinely don’t understand what you’re trying to say. First of all, most Israelis are not of European descent, we’ve just established that. Secondly, are you saying Jewish people are somehow UBER-white such that even if they have brown skin, they should be considered white? Why? Because you imagine them to be rich/powerful/privileged or something? That sounds pretty antisemitic to me.
Anonymous
Not to minimize discrimination of white Jews but their discrimination is not based on skin color but rather their culture, belief systems and traditions, brown/black people are discriminated solely on how they look.
Anonymous
I would say it’s always easier and more advantageous to be a white person of any religious background than any person with darker skin.

Are the whiter Israelis treated better than darker skinned Israelis? I would assume so because that’s a general rule everywhere on earth.

He sat back and watched the slaughter of his own people for hours and hours.

I’m not picking sides, I just want to know why.

He is incompetent and was caught flatfooted. I have seen zero credible evidence that he intentionally allowed the slaughter of his own people. What ostensible political goal would that even serve? His popularity within Israel absolutely tanked after October 7 and the war in Gaza hasn’t done much to rehabilitate his image.

And let’s say your bonkers conspiracy theory is true and he did intentionally allow October 7 to happen - is he ultimately responsible for October 7? Did he make Hamas spend billions of dollars digging terror tunnels and acquiring arms? Did he tell them to shoot thousands of rockets at Israel? Did he make Hamas murder 1,200 Jewish people including literal babies in the most horrific, sadistic ways possible? Did he make 70% of Gazans support October 7?

What are you trying to achieve with the argument? That’s a rhetorical question, I know you’re trying to blame Jews for their own victimhood while denying Palestinians any agency whatsoever.

Netanyahu is neither incompetent nor flat-footed. The Gaza border is the most well secured and protected area in the world and somehow people think it's believable that a rag tag army with paragliders made it over to conduct an operation. And then it took 6 to 8 hours for some type of military response in a country the size of New Jersey. Only a moron would not see through this.

Did you read literally any accounts from the (in many cases retired) soldiers who rushed down there to try to respond themselves because the army was completely disorganized? The closest military base to where the attack started was overrun, and people there were dead. The leadership didn't think something like this could happen, because they also thought the Gaza border was the most well secured and protected area in the world. Turns out that's only true if you haven't decided you don't need to worry about Gaza and can instead send your troops to harass the West Bank in protection of illegal settlements there.

Israel remained disorganized for months after the attack, with more than 100,000 people displaced internally because the government couldn't figure out how to secure or rebuild housing near Gaza or near Lebanon.

Popular opinion in Israel turned heavily against Netanyahu right after that, specifically because of how incompetently the government managed Oct. 7 and because he so clearly didn't care about the hostages. It didn't start to turn favorable again until they attacked Hezbollah.

I’m not arguing that Ashkenazi Jews should be seen as non-white. I literally don’t care what you view them as.

I’m saying white/black/brown is not a useful lens through which to view this conflict. It is not a racial conflict. You cannot credibly call Israel a WHITE supremacist state when fully 50% of its citizens are non-white (at least to the extent you believe Palestinians are non-white. That is, they have recent middle eastern ancestry and darker skin).

The only reason this whiteness question gets constantly trotted out is that ANTISEMITES want to associate Jews/Israelis with whiteness. Because (a) Jews are always blamed for the sins of society and right now those are whiteness/privilege/colonialism, and (b) it’s an easy/lazy way to cast Jews as oppressors.
