Democrats don't run women, not because the other Democrats won't vote for women and they're very unpopular (HRC is the frumpiest most annoying white woman you can bring up and she got the popular vote), but because those people don't think women are worthy to be president. That's it.

HRC and Kamala aren’t the best candidates . They laugh foolishly when discussing serious issues like war and mayhem. America likes women that aren’t weird cacklers and say stupid things like “Why am I not 50 points ahead ????”

I've never thought the Democratic party has run very intelligent people. Obama was a smooth talker, but we can see how they turned out. Bill Clinton is an idiot. Biden is an idiot and for a while was just making the same bland "unity" statements while appeasing really no one at all-he reminds me of Jeb Bush. I don't think you need to be the best candidate at all to win the race. I do think people should be more honest and just say the thing: "I don't think women should be president"

??

Bill Clinton is widely considered one of the most intelligent US presidents in history. Clearly he made some not-so-bright decisions in his personal life, but the man was no dummy.

By Who? There have been many more impressive presidents who've achieved more than Bill-whose most impressive background fact is getting a Rhodes Scholarship?

It's going to be a white guy. Can't be Newsome because he's from California, too. Likely Beshear, Pritzker, Shapiro, or Buttigieg.

Maybe Whitmer, but that might be too much estrogen for the electorate to handle.

I'd like to see it be Duckworth, but that's probably too much melanin for the electorate to handle.

Buttifeg isn't going to happen. Accept it. Dems want to win and that's not a path to winning

Same for those mentioning women and Beto- not this year, maybe 2028 or 2032 depending on how things go

It;s a fight between Cooper and Beshear. with Shapiro a distant third.

Researchers at UC Davis conducted a study analyzing presidential IQ. Results summarized at the link below. Spoiler—Clinton came in at #4 behind only Jefferson, Adams, and JFK.

But it’s also pretty common knowledge that Clinton has a photographic memory (or very close to it).

I've read so many crazy stories of Clinton remembering people he met once fleetingly, famous and not. It's a really useful and impressive quality.

He's boring and won't carry AZ. But I'm fine with him.

A two woman ticket makes me very nervous (unfortunately), but I do hope Whitmer is out there as an extremely vocal surrogate trying to drive the vote for Kamala in Michigan.

Whitmer is campaigning hard for Harris. She’s said she doesn’t want to leave MI.

Because she wants to be president. Smart.

Cooper is 67! I'm 100% behind who she chooses. I heard she and Cooper are close from AG time. I think he would bring the most to the ticket: 14 EC votes, experience with fascists (NCGOP is the worst!), great campaigner, but he may not be able to leave his state because the crazy Lt. Gov. will try some shenanigans. But again, I am fine with who Harris trusts.

He’s a combat pilot and an astronaut who went to space!! How is that boring?

Anonymous wrote:Why would the DNC want to run anyone other than Harris? Her name is already out there, and she's the most visible non-biden Democrat currently. It feels like they want to make this a much more chaotic process than it needs to be. Just follow party line and say she's a good candidate and MOVE ON.

Because the Dem governors are all polling higher than her. If this really is about saving us from Trump, why not go with a candidate who is polling higher? Everyone is acting like Kamala has already won. I think that's dangerous, especially as Biden screwed her over and she's tainted because of him. Remember how we watched with dread on election night 2016.

She needs to pick someone from the “blue wall” if she wants to win. Biden won those narrowly and he was way more moderate than Harris.

I don’t think picking KY governor despite how moderate he is, would be smart.

Maybe I’m underestimating Cooper’s appeal but there’s a lot of ways she loses without Pennsylvania—even if she wins North Carolina.

Biden's still going to campaign for her. You know this, right?

I don’t see how that helps very much. His name won’t be on the ticket anymore.

Not boring at all and reminiscent of old time democrats , that would be helpful to bring in a certain demographic of voters

Unless he can bring NC, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada back from being in Trump’s favor (which they are currently heavily polling in his favor—by at least a few percentage points outside the MOE) Then it wouldn’t be the greatest pick.
