I'm sure the Mad Lax guy will try to push some of his national players who reside across the country to Episcopal however, EHS is a tough sell.

Not every parent wants to send their son to a boarding school.

You heard it hear first, Episcopal will begin to emerge as a power in the IAC in the years ahead.

EHS has already added in two marquee transfers for the coming fall and I anticipate the Madlax founder will push his players there as well.

Sorry, I'm not buying Episcopal will emerge as a regional lacrosse power. The Maroon might field a rather competitive team once every 4 - 5 seasons.

Despite having the best athletic facilities in the entire DMV, Episcopal's athletic programs are historically below average.

The school only cares about its football program and beating Woodberry Forest in the annual "game". It's been like this for decades and don't see it changing.

Landon will be fine next year. Look for them, Bullis or STJ to be on top of the dmv rankings next year. No one else will be close to those three

Or how about criticizing Landon for letting the best player in the area transfer and go to GP eventually. Or how about the attack at SJC that transferred from Landon and started this year as a soph bc Landon made other choices with their starters.

I tend to agree with this post. The Landon LSM who is off to Tufts this Fall, was the Bear's best player this Spring which is D3.

Kabari, an All-Met player of the Year for Prep in 2023, did his 8th and 9th grade at Landon. He then transferred to Episcopal and repeated his freshman year. After his sophmore campaign, he transferred to Prep and completed his junior and senior seasons where he dominated.

I don't think it is fair to blame HS coaches if a kid wants to transfer and then fails to excel at another school program. Some kids physically develop later in HS, some kids peak by the time they are sophomores, some kids hit puberty late, while some kids are 17 years old as a sophomore.

I would definitely contest your above statement that the lsm from Landon was their best player. He was their best defensive player but no where close to their best player at all

Agree.

Good Counsel and PVI bring back most of their rosters so they will make the WCAC very fun to watch.

Prep will be in a rebuild mode.

Gonzaga graduated a strong 2024 class however their beast LSM comes back.

Good Counsel will be the best team in the area. Coach brought in two mid year transfers in January and he will continue to bring in transfers this year. Expect GC to win the WCAC in May of 2025. You heard it here first.

Cuz no one else is trying to improve their team. Everyone else just standing around while GC does its magic. No way GC is beating SJC. You heard it here first! SJC about to go on a lomg run.

Nobody wins their conference by posting on DCUM. Especially after ending their season with a 6-18 hook. I mean do it in the dirt. Or rubber pellets and plastic.

^ starting midfield is transfers. Parents and 2029s should pay attention.

What are the reasons why the transfers didn't help last year?

What does this mean

I assume he means, if you have a kid who is looking at GC and is expecting to play varsity lax either as a freshman or sophomore, be advised that your kid can abruptly lose his spot to a transfer at any time. I assume this can happen at any IAC/WCAC program but some schools do it more than others and it's something to consider when you're looking at a school for your kid, at least with regards to athletics.

Dane has elevated GCs program big time in just 3 years.

Look for the Falcons to finally crack the WCAC title game this Spring.

Gonzaga will be very young next season, the falcons bring back the meat of their starting lineup.

Gonzaga will not be young next season. Starters will be mostly seniors with some juniors.
