I don't know, but think both US Club Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse rank players who come to their own events.

"Inside Lacrosse will typically perform evaluations at our own events as well as some partner events."

The 2025 class is much weaker than the ‘24 class, which was much weaker than the ‘23 class, across the entire country. Comparing across classes is a waste of time.

21s and 22s were about as good it gets so they should not be the benchmark. We likely won’t see that level of talent for a long time.

Or how about criticizing Landon for letting the best player in the area transfer and go to GP eventually. Or how about the attack at SJC that transferred from Landon and started this year as a soph bc Landon made other choices with their starters.

I tend to agree with this post. The Landon LSM who is off to Tufts this Fall, was the Bear's best player this Spring which is D3.

Kabari, an All-Met player of the Year for Prep in 2023, did his 8th and 9th grade at Landon. He then transferred to Episcopal and repeated his freshman year. After his sophmore campaign, he transferred to Prep and completed his junior and senior seasons where he dominated.

I don't think it is fair to blame HS coaches if a kid wants to transfer and then fails to excel at another school program. Some kids physically develop later in HS, some kids peak by the time they are sophomores, some kids hit puberty late, while some kids are 17 years old as a sophomore.

This makes perfect sense.
The Prep issue is this, their coach does not work hard and is considered lazy by the parents and his peers.

To pile onto Landon a bit more, I know next year's fogo at SJC is an alum's kid. I'm curious how many SJC alums have kids attending other schools.

There's just more movement now than there used to be as well. More pressure, easier to apply to schools, less "loyalty" to one place, wider social circles among kids - lots of contributing factors.

The Kabiri situation was different than some in that he left Landon to repeat ninth grade which he couldn't do there, in order to get another year to grow. Plenty of posters have complained about Prep allowing him fourth and fifth years of high school which isn't supposed to be allowed in Maryland. No one really cared because of covid.

Are there any other kids impacting the DC metro area as reclasses next year? The only one we're aware of is the Landon fogo, who should have been picked up as a 25.

False. Landon absolutely allows high school at Landon reclassing and there are examples right now. Kabiri left bc he didn’t make varsity over less deserving players and bc Landon has some weird hierarchy system, so the parents got pissed. They took advantage of Covid and the rules then transferred again bc Urick gets players into d1 regardless of his X’s and O’s

He had offers, just not at the level of Michigan.

Landin has two D1 fogos.

One is committed to Lafayette as a 2025.

One is committed to Michigan as a 2026. This player is graduating from Landon in the 2025 class and either taking a gap year or doing a PG year.

Both are pretty talented based on what I saw last spring.

Landon allows reclasses, yes. That's for kids coming in. They don't allow kids to repeat grades (internal reclass). It was the right move for the kid and Landon supported him in leaving. Don't create drama where there isn't any.

Look for Landon to struggle in the years ahead now that Madlax founder yanked his youngest son and sent him to Episcopal for 9th grade.

You heard it hear first, Episcopal will begin to emerge as a power in the IAC in the years ahead.

EHS has already added in two marquee transfers for the coming fall and I anticipate the Madlax founder will push his players there as well.

Landon will be fine. I wish Scotty luck.
