It's not, and those lease provisions already exist throughout the nation regarding cigarettes/tobacco. The smell is damaging -- to quality of life, to health, to property value. You lose about 10% of your car's trade in value for the smell of weed because it's so hard to eradicate. You lose about 30% on home sale value due to cigarette odors. Can't imagine what the residual smell of weed will do. That hurts one house, but if there are enough in a community, it devalues the entire neighborhood. And HOAs will care about that a great deal.

Oh god, more sky is falling nonsense. MJ smoke isn't nearly as damaging as tobacco smoke. There's fewer toxins and the smell doesn't bind to furniture, close, the walls, etc.

Then again, you'd know that if you knew what the hell you are talking about. But continue lying.

It's fascinating how completely wrong you are.

I am against all kinds of drugs, vaping etc for health reason. So I will continue to vote against it.

My adult kids voted for it because they saw it as a vote towards racial equity. They are idiots. No one should have access to drugs.

Thank you. My adult kid is an idiot too. There's no universe in which an intoxicated populace is a good.

Some of you would be much less miserable if you put down the vodka and ate an edible.

Nah. We’d just be way more self centered.

Hmmmm … in this context, I actually think a no vote is pretty self centered. “I don’t like it / I don’t think other people should do it, therefore, everyone should be banned from doing it”

"Puritanism 2022, We Promise to not be Such A-holes This Time, Haha Just Kidding"

Kind of a catchy slogan

Do you believe all of the horseshit the marijuana industry blows up your ass? Marijauana contains carcinogens. It might be hard for your feeble mind to understand, but when you burn any organic matter it will give off carcinogens. It doesn't matter if it is tobacco or marijuana:

https://www.cdc.gov/marijuana/health-effects/cancer.html

THC is also disruptive to developing brains. It impairs peoples' abilities to perform complex tasks, disrupts learning and memory, and causes detectable changes in areas of the brain like the hippocampus.

https://nida.nih.gov/publications/research-reports/marijuana/how-does-marijuana-produce-its-effects

So no, your cloud of smoke isn't just a smell, you're exposing unwilling bystanders to carcinogens and plumes of smoke that can damage brains. Tobacco was banned for literally the same reasons. Anyone with kids who lives next door to disgusting potheads will have their kids exposed to a constant level of THC that can cause brain development issues for their children since potsmoke always permeates through walls.

You sound like the same morons who actually believe the horseshit that the alcohol industry pumps when they claim that a few glasses of alcohol are 'good' for you. The marijuana industry does the same crap to obfuscate the truth and to try to come up with some flimsy 'evidence' that marijuana is some magic plant. It ain't.

The reality is not much is known about the science of cannabis. The DEA has classified it as a Schedule I drug, which means no research is allowed. There's no reason for it to be treated this way but the drug warriors are afraid of the truth.

Does this mean my kids will have to walk through a thick wall of marijuana smoke every time we go to a MoCo public library?

The library? No. Downtown Silver Spring, Pike and Rose, Wheaton Mall, or Montgomery Mall? Absolutely yes.

Was in downtown DC today walking on Pennsylvania Ave near the White House and smelled it.

Not really. I know more Black and brown men will die from associated gun violence because cops won’t be allowed to search cars due to suspected marijuana, and find all the illegal guns. Fewer illegal guns taken off the street means more homicides and non fatal shootings.

Something like 1,000 guns have been recovered this year.

Watch over the next year or so to see if gun recoveries go down and homicides/shootings go up.
