There was work on a SARS vaccine but it stopped when it was no longer needed. That doesn't mean it would have come to fruition, but we've worked on a coronavirus vaccine already.

Right - we don’t have one that has been proven to work.

We have a few new ones in the pipeline already but none of them have gotten to efficacy stage yet, correct?

Coronavirus droplets could travel 27 feet, warns MIT researcher.

We just had 912 people die of this YESTERDAY. This thing is so much worse than the flu. Remember all the Swine Flu comparisons over the last few weeks? Well the swine flu killed 12,000 Americans over 12-18 months. COVID-19 killed 900 just yesterday! Why aren’t we forcing all states to lock down?

Oh, I don’t know. Maybe because people need to work or their families will become homeless and starve? Being quarantined is a lovely rich person activity. We should be quarantining the vulnerable only, testing like crazy, and allowing people to work.

We could lift quarantines if vulnerable populations were isolated and there was massive testing:

Testing & tracking is the answer. We need the whole military industrial complex to pivot to testing & tracking. If we truly treated this like a war effort we could do it. This approach does not require bankrupting a huge percentage of Americans.

UBI is the answer.

This is why we should ALL be wearing masks!

This bullshit post is going to cause a level of hysteria we've yet to see. This virus is real and we need to take it seriously but anything that encourages uneducated people to treat this virus like a super intelligent serial killer hurts us all.

Poor people don’t want to die either. My mom is dirt poor and out of work right now and she said she doesn’t want anybody using her situation as an excuse to let Coronavirus spread. We all need to stay home.

Also the Netherlands tried this approach and it did not work. At all.

The “way of life” where you capture and interact with bats is highly dangerous. THREE very dangerous Coronavirus - ALL from bats - in the last 18 years. That’s a dangerous and fatal zoological Coronavirus from bats every six years. That’s horrible no matter if it’s China, Egypt, or another country. We need to stay away from bats.

Why did the Chinese Communists now REOPEN their "WET MARKETS"....

selling live bats, dogs, cats to eat??

They're called WET because the places are swimming in a bloody mess, as the animals get freshly slaughtered before your eyes.

Since the communists are saying this started with live bats sold to eat in the wet markets, why did they reopen the wet markets? Perhaps they aren't believing their own lies?

Praying social distance/quarantine and healthcare system can flatten the curve…yesterday I drove past local HS (getting supplies) w/ 15 MS age kids congregating on field... c'mon people, use common sense.

186,000 cases today per the CDC. So you were “conservatively” off by ... quite a bit. We’ll check back with this ice cold take on April 9th!

DP. As of 6pm, 213k and the day isn't over. PP's math is correct, unfortunately.
