who are their college commits? |
Hands down. They have two guys going to Mary Washington. |
what are the matchups? |
and how about their 2025's? |
Indy has 2 2025's going to UMW, 1 going Aurora and 1 going to Rollins. Others may play club at bigger schools, choosing college over lacrosse. Who cares? They are a tough team and pretty well balanced overall. Goalie is a Sophomore and playing at a high level since he took over last year. |
Gainesville @ Cosby Robinson @ Langley Yorktown @ West Potomac Deep Run @ Battlefield |
Agree that Indy will play undisciplined most of the time and that is their fatal flaw. I also agree that they are the most talented team in VHSL. I would not agree that their best win was vs Battlefield- I would rank them doubling up Atlee, and beating Riverside above BF (reigning 4,5 and 2nd place 6 teams) . Atlee gets my vote for the toughest schedule in the state. I really hate to say I believe they will win Class 5, but I think they will. |
Cosby in a laugher Langley in a pick'um Langley in another close one. WP over YT +2 BF over DR +6 BF over WP +3 Langley over Battlefield +3 for State |
Riverside would be in the mix because they are a well coached program with a history of winning but anyone who watched them this year knows the talent just isn’t there to win it. It’s amazing the run they had. 6 state championships in 7 years is incredible, but I only saw 3 offensive players that could even generate scoring chances. I am not sure what is coming back but it looks like it’s the end of an era in Lansdowne. |
Giving Robinsons history, I think that West Po loss was not too bad for them rather than obviously now having to play a much harder team in the 1st round. Robinson is just
one of those teams that is always a good team, and finding ways to make it to a state final frequently. I think they beat Langley in a close game, but still are clear winners. The interesting game is there matchup vs Cosby… I have no knowledge on the first game between those two, should Robo have won? |
No - Cosby got up 4-0 or 5-0 and Robinson had to claw their way back into it. |
That wasn’t meant to say Robinson should not have won, it just was not an easy game for them. |
Lot of ball still needs to be played but if all 4 1 seeds win, who gets the home games in the semifinals? Same if both 2 seeds win? |
Gotta go with the hot team playing at home. In regionals Langley beat a very good Chantilly team by 7, beat Madison on the road, which nobody expected, and beat Yorktown by 10. Robinson had two easy games, and then a loss to West Po where they looked pretty bad. It is bizarre that they did not try to get the ball late in the game. It's true that Robinson has a history of winning big games and Langley losing them, and this year the trend seems to be reversed. Robo found a way to lose to West Po and Madison, while Langley found a way to beat both of those teams, plus beating Robinson itself. Robinson has dominated face-offs the past two years, but this year Langley has owned the X. It will be a good close game, and the data points toward Langley. |
