He won't get re-appointed if he tries to go back the Court of Appeals (15 year term, I believe). He may lose his Court of Appeals appointment altogether if the Judicial Conduct Committee investigates this boat load of complaints against him.

Sparky, this forum is lousy with seasoned lawyers--don't try to one up us--you just sound so silly. And he absolutely can be disbarred (crime of moral turpitude) you don't have to be convicted of the crime (see, Nixon).

Umm, federal judges have lifetime appointments. Only way to remove is by impeachment.

Who cares? Perhaps the most irrelevant part of this case ever raised. Focus!

Maybe she came over via a telepod. I hope she doesn't show up part-fly tomorrow!

Yes. The way in which she arrived in Washington may be the single most important thing here.

You’re a psychotic authoritarian. “Protest apparent serial sex-assaulting Kavanaugh and no woman can access full healthcare services.”

ACB won't get past Murkowski and Collins.

Next?

Exactly.

Unfriendly to most guys except own bro' bunch.
Mean toward most girls, except when drunk and then became touchey-feeley, hopey-gropey, hokey-pokey, drapey-rapey.
Super friendly to girls of high status with rich parents and country club peerage.

Moms and dads -- look in the mirror -- in your quest for that Lax scholarship and Ivy League admit, are you raising the next Brett Kavanaugh??????

I would be proud if my kid grew up to be the next Brett Kavanaugh. Strong character, dedicated husband and father, donates time feeding the homeless, incredibly smart - a man of integrity. Yes, I would be damn proud to have a “Brett Kavanaugh” as a son.

There is a whole disgusting "townie girl" phenomenon that thrives near elite schools and colleges. The rich boys prey on local girls that are from lower economic status. I'm not going to link an article that goes into depth explaining this phenomenon--it's just too vile frankly--I can't stomach it.

You'd be proud of Huguely too, probably.

The fact that Judge will not testify to defend Kavanaugh speaks volumes. The fact he is in hiding says a lot.

100% agree.

And this alternative rapist thing the GOP is springing is right out of Putin's playbook. Totally shameful.

She KNOWS Kavanaugh - they were in the same circles. It simply isn't convceivabe that she has mistaken identity on this.

Fox is reporting that witnesses have come forward to say that Ford may have confused them with Kavanaugh.

The problem is, we are getting both Brett Kavanaugh AND Bart O'Kavanaugh with this nomination. There is only one open seat on the bench.

Why are Ford's witnesses refusing to testify on her behalf?

Right out of Putin's playbook. It is truly shameful that the GOP would concoct this. Is there sworn testimony? Why not have the FBI investigate their claims?

And why are Kavanaugh's witnesses absent?

Those Catholic men have never been known for sexual misconduct....nope, can't think of one incident -- not one.

Sexual debauchery and alcohol -- the two tenets of a Jesuit education.

Funny how after reading the Vanity Fair article it seems that many private schools around the area had similar alleged incidents. GDS, St. Albans and Landon. All during the same time period. Stop with the only at Prep accusations.

The comments here are disgusting. You condemn a man, based on flimsy allegations, criticize his wife, his parents, AND his children. You say we cannot question the backgrounds or the motives of the accusers because that would be “victim shaming” even though their backgrounds raise serious questions about their motives.

You all nauseate me. The comments here are disgusting and reveal the true depth of the liberal mind. The fact that you convict, yes, convict this man based on no evidence shows you have learned nothing from the Duke case or the UVA case. I read oner the thread on the UVA case and some of the same types of comments were found there. Sickening.

You automatically believe the woman because, #MeToo. You don’t acknowledge that women sometimes lie and get things wrong. Oh, but we can’t say that because, “I believe her.”

Last night, it was revealed that two men have come forward with statements that they believe Ford has confused Kavanaugh for them. We’ll see what happens with these claims as the day goes on.

Sounds as if some of the people who post here have major issues based on past experiences and are projecting THEIR experiences and holding Kavanaugh responsible for them. That’s not how things work. You need to get help.
