Or better yet — no mask but a red MAGA hat to hide his most distinct facial features

That’s what I was thinking. He stood out with the mask. Few people wear them these days.

I see more than one person wearing a mask every time I go out. Not outside on the street usually, but on customers and employees at Costco, and other stores.

Depends on what area, go somewhere rural and conservative and you won’t see it

Possibly both. Murder is not federal but gun charges can be.

I think the two big contributors here are going to turn out to be weed (I bet he already used a lot in his frat in college, then it got worse with the back pain, and I’m sure there was free flowing weed in his commune in Hawaii) and playing first person shooter games. Weed absolutely precipitates psychotic illness in kids this age (see here for example: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33617756/). And growing up playing a lot of shooter games (it said several places that he was into them and at one point his goal was to develop his own) inured him to real life repercussions of shooting someone.

More to NYC cabs having really good cameras.

The smiling picture from the hostel was not really helpful in identifying him.

I don’t get why he looked directly at the camera.

He might be just looking ahead and not thinking that there is camera there.

Well, now we all know that there are cameras in the NYC cabs. (Hmm, are there cameras in DC cabs as well?)

Most likely. Cameras are everywhere in Dc now.

I cannot wait for the Law & Order SVU episode or Lifetime movie to come out about this whole situation.

This guy is literally Robin Hood for Gen Z. My kid was showing me all kinds of video edits tonight that people have made about him...his mugshot as a Vogue cover, for example. A group walking into the McD's in PA and shouting "McSnitches get McStitches!" and another video of a group of young people DoorDashing Taco Bell to a McD's location because they are now boycotting their food. Hilarious.

Just him is seems. And the unanimous nature of it is very intriguing.

Yes, Meta owns several of those so makes sense that they will go dark at the same time but not the others.

Meta and Alphabet (Google) spent the most on their executive security last year: https://apnews.com/article/unitedhealthcare-ceo-thompson-shooting-security-corporate-a9400196d019daa3fe70698e807c606d
So makes sense that they would rush to wipe out his accounts. Self-preservation.

This is pathetically sad. This guy is a murderer and they’re… celebrating him? And you find it “hilarious”?

Anonymous wrote:Apparently the gun was 3d printed. Did he figure out how to do that himself???

Well, he has a masters in comp sci from Penn. And a teen from a local HS that hadn’t yet passed algebra also figured out how to print a 3D gun, so my guess’s is it’s pretty idiot proof if you have the instructions.
My question is where he got the money for the 3D printer, materials, bus tickets, hostel fee, etc. I’m assuming he hasn’t been employed for a while.

He parents may have bought him a $900k house. He sold it. He also had a job for a few years, it seems.

Why didn't he donate it?

Will he most likely be charged federally or by NYC?

If it is in NYC with Alvin Bragg as DA it will mean far fewer years in prison. His Day One memo states:

Day One Polices & Procedures January 3, 2022
When seeking a carceral sentence, the following rules apply, absent exceptional circumstances:

a. For a determinate sentence, the Office will request a maximum of 20 years.

b. For an indeterminate sentence other than one with a maximum of life, the Office will request no more than a maximum of 20 years, absent exceptional circumstances.

c. For an indeterminate sentence with a maximum of life, the Office will request no more than a minimum of 20 years, unless required by law.

d. The Office shall not seek a sentence of life without parole.

e. In exceptionally serious cases such as homicides where lengthy periods of incarceration are justified, ADAs shall consider the use of restorative justice as a mitigating factor in determining the length of the sentence, only when victims or their loved ones consent.

Hilarious?

It’s morally bereft.

This guy killed a man.

Charged with murder tonight. Extradition hearing Wednesday.

I'm just going to repost this because it's now about 25 pages back and I wouldn't want it to get lost in the discussion.
