Walz faces criticism for misleading IVF language

Earlier this week, would-be second lady Gwen Walz shared that she and her husband opted for intrauterine insemination (IUI) to deal with infertility, not in vitro fertilization (IVF) as some of the governor’s prior remarks and statements had erroneously suggested.

You are being obtuse.

Oh, well. Let's all ignore MAGAts tried to overthrow the govt, the fact that the GOP wants to do away with democracy and rights of women altogether all for their putrid pile of ORANGE dogsh*t and vote based on T H I S.

You are pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. Look at the kind of nonsense you're trying to use against him when your f***ing party wants women to have NO OPTIONS.

"Gee, I'm going to vote for the party that wants to do away with women's rights on rep. health incl. IVF, over THIS scandal!"

Walz being publicly fact checked by his wife is also really creepy because poor Mrs. Walz was forced to correct the record about something as personal as her fertility in front of America. Anyone who is married would be pissed about this. Anyone who is decent would be, too. Walz is bad news.

I admire her integrity for correcting his statements. I’m starting to wonder— maybe he does not even understand the difference? Or he wanted to garner more sympathy? Hard to know, but truly bizarre.

Appreciate Gwen's correction, and I'm happy happy to add this to the massive pile of evidence that no men should be making reproductive decisions on behalf of women, ever.

So all of you who are complaining about Walz saying IVF when they used IUI, and saying he has been lying are not going to vote, right? Because if you can't tolerate Walz "lying" about which ARTS procedure was used to create their children and that he worked as a E9 but retired as an E8 and mistakenly said that he was a retired E9, must be absolutely living about the many lies that Trump tells daily.

Trump has lied about being a self-made man when his father started him off with hundreds of millions of dollars.
Trump has lied to each of his wives as he has cheated on each of them.
Trump has lied on the stand that he did not sexually assault E Jean Carroll.
Trump has lied about having a sexual affair with Stormy Daniels.
Trump has lied about his financial documents in trying to cover up his affair with Stormy Daniels
Trump has lied about winning the 2020 election.
Trump has lied about being the best president for Black Americans.
Trump has lied about his successes in office. He has lied about doing a better job on the national debt than Obama and Biden when he increased it more than either of them did in their terms in office.
Trump has lied about his respect for the military when he has called them losers and suckers.
Trump has lied about being in a helicopter with Willie Brown.
Trump has lied about the size of his rally crowds. Even comparing his rally crowd to the attendance at the MLK "I Have a Dream" speech.
Trump has lied about paying people who work for him, like all of the lawyers that have been disbarred for defending him with additional legal lies.

Trump has lied more this week than Walz has lied in multiple careers spanning over 30 years.

If honesty and integrity are so important for you, then you have to abstain from voting because if Walz' lies are enough that you would not vote for him, then you most assuredly cannot vote for Trump who has no honesty or integrity.

This, but Trumpers are insufferable hypocrites.

+1000 how about ignoring them? Or simply responding with links to Trump's litany of lies?

So it’s bad that Trump lies, but okay that Walz does? Please explain.

No, it's bad thinking that Walz's lies are anywhere near as bad as Trump's lifetime of putrid lies and behavior.

Stop telling your self that jaywalking is just as bad as being a serial killer. It is unfathomable for anyone to think scum of the earth like Trump isn't in a league of his own when it comes to being vile. Attempting to pretend Walz is anywhere near as insidious a man as Trump, it's downright obscene.

There is something very wrong with someone who can't see the difference between the two or frankly, Trump vs pretty much anyone the Dems put up (and I don't even like the Dems). There is no doubt Trump is corrupt. Took money from foreign govts along with his family.

What did Dems do with Menendez vs what Republicans did with Trump? Think about that and then see why Republicans are just trash.

Disagree. A lie is a lie. I know your Trùmp Dèrangemënt SYndròme makes you think otherwise. Walz lies are the good kind of lies. That must be it.

NP - you must be trolling. I won’t dignify this asinine post with a response.

His keyboard typos tell me everyone needs to let this thread die.

An increasing number of media outlets are fact-checking Walz and finding an increasing number of fabrications:

Sheesh, he was using IVF as a generic term because that is the most widely known and understood.

Talk about a nothingburger.

On twitter, the right is trying to claim Walz lies about playing with his dog in the park, when he plays with his dogs and everyone else's dogs and thus different dogs show up on his social media feeds.

I mean, really, this is the best the GOP has?

Oh, no, they are also going all in on this insane thing of claiming Tim Walz lied about having a dog.

They are trying to exhaust us. That's all this is. Exhaust us into curling up in a ball again so they can come take whatever their dirty, disgusting hands want.

When Walz reaches the amount of "pants on fire" lies that Trump has told, then I'll worry.

Oh, please. Women who have gone through IVF talk about "implanting" eggs rather than transferring them. No RE would make that mistake, and it's the difference between trying to get pregnant and actually being pregnant. Does that mean these women didn't know the difference? Or just that they used an inaccurate colloquialism?

Shall we talk about the difference between a vagina and a vulva? Most people get that wrong, too.

I think he probably figured most Americans even those who haven't dealt with infertility recognize the word IVF far more than can recognize IUI without looking it up. His entire role is relating to average Americans in an easy way
