Bingo! College rules Battlefield wins this game nearly every time unless facing Madison.

Oakton. Oakton. Oakton.
Better a week or so of Oakton, Oakton, Oakton, than an entire year of Battlefield, Battlefield, Battlefield 😂
seems blog opinion is battlefield is better overall team, and oakton was better on one day. Now lets see if oakton parents are mature enough to accept this fact, or continue to cry "why dont people like us"? Mic drop, blog done, enjoy your summer!

Point on. Battlefield would probably win 6 out of 10 games head to head but all that counts is the one Oakton won. Cougars state champs !!
This argument that Battlefield was the better team is pure BS. First, Battlefield had trouble scoring when Oakton was at full strength (3 BF goals were man up). Second, Oakton had numerous opportunities to score late when Battlefield was desperate, but chose not to shoot in order to use clock. Third, Oakton owned both of Battlefield’s goalies, whereas the Oakton goalie made a save even on a fast break where she was 1 v 1 with the attacker. And finally, Battlefield got a taste of how Oakton’s #11 can take over when she scored 3 straight after Battlefield scored first. Battlefield would lose at least 9 out of 10 against this year’s Oakton team. It’s also worth noting the relative difference in strength of the team Oakton crushed in the semi vs the team Battlefield beat. I think Battlefield has earned the respect of Fairfax teams and shouldn’t be taken lightly, but their loss to Oakton was no fluke, and they are definitely NOT better than Oakton.

Battlefield is probably better in every area of the game except one -- #11 is just too good. She is elite talent and will excel in college.

Agree. Definitely not a fluke. I have it as a 50/50 game if these teams played again. Both Oakton and Battlefield have different strengths they bring to the table but none of that matters as Oakton is the state champions and #1 baby !!!

Oakton is weak

#11 the most impactful player on the field hands down !! Definitely deserved her POY Award.

elite high school skills - certainly not elite height or speed. She will find a niche, but lets see if she hangs 92 in a season.

Only one D1 player scored more than 92 goals this season. May sit on the bench her first couple years as she competes for playing time but few girls work harder than she does.

I will say right now Oakton is lucky. They didn’t face Robinson with air draw specialist because she beat us when we lost to Robinson by one. And I would say Robinson when we played them was a better team than Oakton hands-down
agree. Robo healthy scary good, with college-level skills. Better than oakton if both fully healthy. 5' 9" all around versus 5' 5" any day.

Have no idea what her 40 time is, but did hear once that her pro agility time is crazy fast. All I know is, I’ve not seen anyone as effective dodging from the top against a double or a backer zone. Her stick skills are probably better than most D1 players. As for height, this is not basketball. The fact that she will be playing for the 6th ranked D1 team in the nation says a lot. The JMU coach has a pretty good track record at finding talent.

I to think it is pretty cool for Madison players and coaches to have the time to rile up Oakton I love the thread.
Madison has the time… Oakton to busy WINNING a State Championship… keep riling!!
Also, enjoy the thread about Oakton lucky… let’s see…if we had college rules, if player wasn’t hurt, if,,if, if…you ALL lost…
The objective is to win a State Championship… either you did OR you didn’t…. Keep whining!
Go Cougars!

Poster should also look at the height of most Mids on the top five college rosters …

Oakton wasn't lucky. Cougars win this game 7 out of 10 times. Credit though to Battlefield who was much stronger than many posters anticipated.

Go state champs!!

Sounds like to me it’s the parents of these oakton players trying to hype their own kid up.
#11 is definitely a good high school player, but will end up transferring out of her college because of no playing time.
Battlefield wins against oakton if oakton doesn’t stall half the game because they know they can’t hang.
And they have coy, he is far from that and everyone knows he doesn’t understand the glax game at all. He just sits their and complains to the refs, demeans his own players and breaks clipboards.

Lol, too funny. Sad but true about coy.
Agree with pp, oakton is scared to actually play any lacrosse, so they kill as much clock as possible the whole game. Battlefield is the better team as I watched the game, if they got one more possession, that game would have been tied up in the end.
I love how it’s the same couple oakton parents that keep defending that team.
Also agree that the competition in the last year or 2 in public schools dropped off.
Battlefield is the real winner of states
