And I doubt Kate feels oppressed by having to dress preppy and conservative and act that way in public. She just seems like she is that kind of person to begin with and I have always thought she enjoys it.

Obviously the people most troubled by this are Will and Kate, and really poor Kate because her jerk of a husband is going to throw her to the wolves in the press now so he can continue to avoid having to do any work. I feel so sorry for Kate.

You may not, but millions of tourists go to see the changing of the guard, to Buckingham palace, Windsor castle, etc. That is the main source of tourist income, together with specific events such as the weddings, that bring in huge crowds of royal fans from overseas. I don’t think many people actually expect to see H&M or any of the others.

But this is also why I don’t understand why people are saying Canada will benefit from tourism if they move there. There aren’t going to be, I assume, events or royal homes that people can go to, because the point is that they will be living there as (semi) private citizens. You might get a few people who go hoping they’ll bump into Meghan at the gym or whatever but I don’t think it’s going to be a huge money spinner for Canada.

I'm sure the Canadians can whip up some pomp and circumstance that will draw tourists. Victoria is gorgeous and already draws a lot of tourists.

I disagree. I think he's the rebel prince, doing what he wants. MM is convenient to that, but Harry has always been a rebel.

Now William, he's held in line by by his grandmother, let alone his wife.
