MCElveen statement. does not say Reid specifically, but calls out he and 2 others on Board had voted to investigate in summer and were shot down and Joe has lost faith in administration.

Can we please all realize there are two major differences between Hayfield and all the other schools who have proselytized the past few decades:

1.) There is a difference in 20+ transfers versus 2-4 transfers in a given season

2.) None of the 2-4 transfers at any given school, have gone out self-proclaiming on youtube, twitter, newspapers, and even the court submission that "we have moved from Freedom HS to Hayfield HS to follow this coach and we can do that because we want is best for our child".

Many FCPS HS athletes are very invested in this story and were shocked and disappointed hat the school system backed the cheaters. The kids put in a ton of time into their sports and respect the game and the rules.

Nope, I have been following this thread all along and NO ONE ever offered up proof. Rumors are not proof.

It was ridiculously easy to prove all the Hayfield cheating, OTOH. If other teams cheated this year or in the past, there should be ample proof.

My kid does marching band and he and his friends are into this story! Fair play is a universal concept and to see your own school system sticking by clear and obvious cheating...well, that interests teenagers, to say the least.

Yes, but before consider the letters from the 6 coaches, the parents from Mt Vernon, the Board members that voted for external investigation, let’s ignore them and investigate all the schools that have not been mentioned. So FCPS may find other bad transfers! You know, like in school. If a teacher finds cheating in 1 classroom in 1 school, FCPS ameats says to make sure to investigate the other 180,000 students county-wide first and before do anything else, because there could be and as there likely is cheating elsewhere. And until have answers on all 180,000, that 1 class of kids has Reid’s full support.
