Was he among those who just voted to extend her contract and give her a raise? If so, seems like posturing on his part.

Maybe but the vote was before she called the coaches to Gatehouse, called then racist. And sent out this tone dead email.

Teams forfeit games where that played a single ineligible player all the time in college

When you keep a colleague or employee on, or extend their contract, that does not somehow make them uncriticizable.

It's good that Reid hears from someone that Fairfax County is not wholly united behind Hayfield and their shenanigans, as she somehow seems to think.

Did she actually call the SoCo meeting racist? Fairfax Times just said "allegedly."

Posturing for sure. Where has he been hiding on this?

He voted for a real investigation in August

A lot of the SB members seemed really uninformed at that meeting before the vote. One kept babbling on about repecting military families.

VHSL may have to reform after all of this. Either become stricter with enforcement whilst also amending the current rules to avoid future litigation, or become looser with enforcement and make the rules into voluntary guidelines, as in Florida.

Or expel FCPS and move forward without them

I thought all the board members unanimously praised her for raising the standards of FCPS to new heights, to paraphrase.

Hint, hint.

Again, an adult scheming ways of picking on kids and not appropriately handling this via adult routes. What is wrong with you?

The chanting is directed at the coaches.

And will the kids understand this as the crowd boos?

This is high school football, not a political protest. A hearing is coming up. FCPS will be revising rules. School board elections will come. You are an adult - show your voice using adult routes. Calm down and control your emotions. Grow up. Leave kids out of your drama.

DP. There is a problem with cheating in academic classes. This is a problem with cheating in an extracurricular. Adults should not look the other way. And neither should other students. If adults and students start calling out cheating, the culture will change. That would be an excellent thing!

(These football player students know they have cheated. The question is whether they get away with it or not.)

I gave you multiple appropriate routes to address the alleged cheating. A judge will be weighing in. Try to get involved with the new FCPS rules. Get involved with the next school board election. There are tons of other ways you can get involved.

Booing these players is unnecessary and provocative. Adults booing at a high school football game is extraordinarily childish. You are an adult and you do your cause no good by coming to their school and booing kids.

Agreed. All teams should refuse to play Hayfield.

When a white person says something is racist, you can bet your bottom dollar on that.

An out of the way family trip for this? Oy.
