Public Trump Impeachment Hearing Mega Thread

Literally confessing to the crime

Ukraine still has not received all the military funding Trump froze in his shakedown / bribery plot. $35 million in aid continues to be withheld, blowing a massive hole in Trump’s already defective impeachment defense and lending leverage to whatever it is Rudy is doing in Ukraine right this very moment.

The White House has declined to participate in the impeachment proceedings. No testimony, no documents, no defense.

The Republicans, too, have now admitted that no evidence exonerates the president of those crimes.

Justin Amash announced he is likely to support the Articles of Impeachment. If that is the case, then the Articles will have "bi-partisan" support.

Also, I am going to posit that the perjury associated with the Mueller Report will make it into the Articles of Impeachment. Remember, Roger Stone was convicted of lying. Trump lied about his knowledge of Wikileaks. It is on paper and a slam dunk in terms of facts.

LOL.
That is NOT bipartisan. He voted for the inquiry too. It was not bipartisan.
Just because some idiot on Twitter calls it bipartisan, that does not make it so.

My prediction is that more Democrats will vote AGAINST impeachment than Republicans voting FOR impeachment.

THAT will be the bipartisan aspect of the vote. Just like the inquiry.

Plenty of reason to raise doubt with Schiff's call log claims. Turned out he got at least one wrong......

But “the OMB number,” according to the Wall Street Journal was not directly associated with the Office of Management and Budget, and Giuliani, instead, could have been having a call with another part of the White House. The New York Times also reported that “the OMB number” was actually a general White House switchboard number, which makes it difficult to determine who Giuliani was speaking with at the White House.

I agree with this statement:

“If the Democrats are going to attack their political opponents, staff members, and even journalists by publishing their phone records, you’d really think they’d at least get the phone numbers right," Langer told Fox News.

Democrats in swing districts may vote against the articles.

That would be the only reason.

I agree. But it could be an innocent mistake made by a staffer.

Trump has told 13,000 lies since taking office. But the Dems get destroyed for every single error. Real level playing field.

Oh, because it is "politically expedient?" Got it.
Anything for a constiutent's vote, right?
Typical Dem.

The reality is that is is questionable for him to access, and then publish, the phone records of the president's attorney, a journalist, and the ranking member of the committee he chairs.
Slimy, at a minimum. But, that is Schiff.
And, he can't even get his sliminess right.

Pardon me? And why are the GOP members of Congress standing by Trump?

Congress has broad oversight powers and can issue subpeonas. Do have a Constitutional issue with what Schiff has done? Because 'slimy' is not in the Constitution.
