Sports General Discussion
| A long time ago, when the head of Joga SC took umbrage so to speak at a perceived slight, he would post violent hip-hop videos to his Twitter account as a warning to those who dared to mess with him. Little did we know (well, some people knew) that this coach was amazingly gifted at developing young soccer players. Lately it seems that he has dropped the mic and left the country, more or less. The NoVa travel landscape is boring now. |

McLean soccer officially has no girls DA, nor alliance with the Washington Spirit. Can't believe it. Every other CCL club around them got in. WTF! Final list:. http://www.ussoccerda.com/final-girls-academy-clubs
|
You are an idiot. What CCL clubs have a girls DA? |
| McLean has ECNL for it's girls. |
Why call the person an idiot? Can you just cut the shit? You obviously don't get enough attention at home or at work or something, so you come here to be an anonymous bully. You nothing but a piece of S bully. Just go away. |
Seriously. That is just completely unnecessary. Reminds me of people who are so rude when they're in their car in traffic. Why do basic manners and decorum go out the window when interaction is not face-to-face? |
Not only that, it's shows you're completely ignorant about the local soccer scene, as Arlington, BRYC, Loudoun and SYA (all CCL clubs) have partnered with Washington Spirit on their girls DA in Virginia. |
Girls, girls, you need to quit this and go back to 5th grade and let the grown-ups have their soccer discussion back....Thanks in advance. |

And to answer the original question, I think this is what s/he was referring to: the Washington Spirit has partnered with four local clubs – Arlington Soccer Association, Braddock Road Youth Club, Loudoun Soccer, and Southwestern Youth Association – to become one of the first 25 member clubs of the U.S. Soccer Girls’ Development Academy. Those four clubs are CCL clubs.
See original announcement here: http://washingtonspirit.com/news/washington-spirit-named-founding-member-of-u-s-soccer-girls-development-academy/ In addition to Washington Spirit, FCV and Virginia Development Academy were also named GDA member clubs from this area. |
Because I'm calling a troll out? LOL. I'm just not going to watch clubs or leagues get bashed for no reason. It was a trolling, ignorant statement. |
Being "affiliated" with a DA is not the same as having a DA. The affiliation can be severed at anytime. Loudoun or SYA will act as player pools, they will not have their own Girls DA team. So you are wrong on several accounts. |
Another FPYC parent here who is happier with UK Elite trainers than with Joga trainers. |
Spirit plays at Maryland Soccerplex stadium, which has a capacity of 4000. On a good night they might get 500 ppl watching. Spirit will fold just like every other women's team sport in the US always has. Last incarnation lasted 3 years, so we should not have to wait too long. |
Those girls/clubs do not have DA teams. The info was completely misinterpreted. Fwiw, BRYC is the best place to be for a girl. I say that as somebody that lives in one of the other CCL zones. |
Ditto! Much better attitudes...great skills, great overall program. |
