Shouldn’t his employer and/or his union be covering any medical bills or legal fees he has incurred from this incident?

They spelled his name wrong. This is presumedly fraud.

Lost wages? Isn’t Jonathan Ross on a taxpayer-funded vacation right now?

Has he even been placed on leave, much less without pay?

Yep. The Boston massacre started the same way. And those people are heralded as patriots.

What value is there to being heralded as a patriot when you are dead? I’m sure it was cold comfort to their families. How many people can name the victims of the Boston Massacre? They didn’t think they’d be killed that day either. That kind of “you’ll be remembered as a hero” is the kind of nationalist nonsense that has gotten young men killed for millennia. BTW none of the soldiers in the Boston Massacre faced any consequences of note.

None of this is surprising. Not then, not now. Protesting is great but think about what and how you are doing it. Lest you become a “hero”.

Some things are bigger than you, snowflake.

I mean if you want to behave foolishly to satisfy your need to feel like somebody go ahead. Renee is dead - hundreds of pages arguing won’t make a difference in that. Nothing anyone says will put her kids to bed at night. I’m sorry that my words encouraging thoughtful and cautious and effective protest is somehow offensive to you. I’m more concerned about the people who haven’t been killed yet. I’m sure her child would rather have a live mom than a hero one.

“The news media has reported paid agitators and bots are posting the majority of the hate comments against Renee Good. The Minneapolis Star is even deriving the script the agitators are using based on repeated phrases and identical false claims.”

I mean, we knew this, but it’s nice to see it validated.

Even if we accept (and this is a flawed premise), that Nicole Good was a terrible person, that she was a paid trouble maker, that she deliberately provoked, that was breaking all sorts of laws... what is the logical consequence???

Not three bullets in the face.

Not logical, but it happened. Now her little boy has no parents.

Wow, really???

Do you think a stepparent isn’t a real stepparent when they are in a same sex marriage?

Disgusting. That boy has a stepmother still, one who adored his biological mother and will never let him forget her, her values and her love for him.

Stepmother may not have custody pretty soon; grandparents of the boy already filed for emergency custody hearing. Stepmother pushed the mother to drive into LEO, earned over a million dollars for that, so let see how sympathetic the court is going to be toward her.

Parents and stepparents with legal and physical custody have presumed priority over grandparents. The best interests calculation which is pretty much uniform from state to state (UCCJEA) defers to the home state of the child and prioritizes continuity and stability of the child’s current schooling, residence, established relationships of family as well as community and medical providers. The legal/custodial parent would have to be found unfit and that isn’t going to happen based on a choice her adult independent spouse made to participate in legal observing of ICE activities in their home neighborhood when their child was safely at school and not put into danger by either of them.

Oh, also Minnesota - and Minneapolis in particular - is famously friendly to the LGBTQIA community.

Nice try through. Hopefully the paternal grandparents won’t be so dumb as to drag that orphan through an extended court battle over custody of that child and force his stepmother to diminish the funds which have been donated for his support and care in order to fight for the custody of him his biological mother intended her to have. Assuming of course that there is an adoption or guardianship plan in place concerning her legal rights to the child.

Any family lawyers to answer this one? Stepmom hasn’t been accused of any crime.

This has nothing to do with the extrajudicial killing. Find a new thread for this. It’s just a way to sow more confusion.

Yep. There is no support for ICE. Even my conservative friends are upset and pissed off. ICE will be defunded and its responsibilities will be moved to other governments agencies.

This. Stupidity gets you killed. Prudence, good judgment, rational behavior, and recognition that your motives don't matter if your conduct is foolishly provocative allows you to live.

He is on paid leave, and has been whisked away with his family.

Tell ya boy to stop playing the street. Now he’s going to go jail and his kids will be even more fatherless.

Good and her wife didn't get custody of all the kids why would a non related woman get custody of goods kid that she barely was able to be allowed to have?
