The L.A. Times ran a story that fueled a lot of anger at Israel - but the story has been debunked. And it may even be a clever piece of planted propaganda:

I'm glad you raised this point. What is not covered very well in history books is the outcome of World War II. Germany lost, of course, but in one respect they won: With the help of the USSR, Catholics in Poland, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia, the Nazis succeeded in driving Jews and their culture from eastern Europe. The small percentage of Jews who survived the Holocaust were not allowed to go back to Warsaw, Prague, et al, and reclaim the property or culture that was stolen from them. The nation of Israel was their only recourse. We can argue "what if," but in 1945, American GIs were tired, and Truman was naïve about Stalin's ruthlessness, and thus there was no way the Jews would ever be allowed back to reclaim their vibrant Yiddish culture. Recent historians have uncovered a plan for Stalin to take over all of Europe to the English Channel. The only thing that stopped him was the fear of US atomic bombs, not knowing how many (or few) the US posessed. |
So the killing doesn't stop. Israel has defined every Palestinian and every person that's ever had a picture taken with a watermelon as Hamas. |
"The other day, I stood outside a locked gate at Columbia University, near a group of protesters who had presumably come to support the students but couldn’t get inside. From the other side of the gate, a bespectacled student in a keffiyeh worked them into a rage, yelling hoarsely into a microphone and, at moments of peak excitement, jumping up and down. She had her rotation: “Intifada revolution,” then “Palestine is our demand; no peace on stolen land!” Then “Free, free Palestine!” Then “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!” Finally, “Intifada, Intifada!” No one stopping to watch could fail to get the message. The young woman wasn’t calling for a cease-fire or a binational confederation of Palestine and Israel. She was calling for war. Is that anti-Semitic? It depends on whether you think that the violent eradication of the state of Israel is anti-Semitic."

Continuing to post LWNJ propaganda? Not going to bother looking at this trash. Do better and stop posting garbage. mediabiasfactcheck is about as credible as Genocide Joe at this point. |
The kid does know that WWI didn't have anything to do with Israel? He's off by one war. |
It hasn't been debunked, just questioned. So far LA times has not backed down. Two of the specific things Nelson said were contradicted in his own substack--he said you never shoot at people's legs, you go for center of mass. This is the US way but not the IDF way, according to multiple people who claimed to be former IDF who described protocols used by the IDF (depending on situation). In case you think these posters were plants, AP news and Times of Israel have reported on the same thing. So Nelson's research missed that. Second, low-flying drones are indeed used, they are loud, and they apparently also are sometimes used just to make Gazans miserable. It's not debunked until someone presents proof he statements are false, such as his never having gone to Gaza at all. So, maybe it's misinformation and maybe the LA Times will one day have to eat crow. But right now you are spreading false information by saying the doctor's story has been debunked, when that is not the case. |
Similarly, ASU faculty member Jonathan Yudelman was filmed harassing a Muslim woman and calling her a b****. This was after he gave an interview with local news describing “Jewish students being intimidated" and described pro-Palestinian protests as “campuses being taken over by supporters of terrorism.” He has now been banned from campus. https://www.statepress.com/article/2024/05/asu-investigation-resignation-postdoctoral-researcher https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/arizona-state-university-scholar-leave-after-confrontation-woman-110080717 |
“I have ordered a complete siege on the Gaza Strip. There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed. . .We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly"
- MoD Yoav Gallant What if your were happily living in your home and invaders came And murdered your neighbors , forcing you and your family to flee, and then the invaders took over your land and said it was theirs , and then the invaders would not let you return , and forced your family to live in squalor , and then the invaders claimed no one ever lived on your land, it was free for the taking Well I would try to do anything I could to eliminate the invaders There is no excuse for anti-semitism nor for Islamophobia. There is also no excuse for violent protests. That said, opposing what Israel is doing is Gaza, which are clearly war crimes, is not anti-semitism. Having been subjected to history’s most horrific bigotry (by European Christians, not Muslims, by the way), does not give Jews the right to massacre other peoples. Just as they were in the Vietnam War era, college students have become the conscience of America. |
Honestly, these protestors seem juvenilely mad that not everyone agrees with them. They believe they should be able to protest without anyone using similar tactics against them. They fail to understand that taking a side in a foreign war means that the other side is going to react against you. |
I think that a lot of them were okay with 10/7 and are shocked to find out many people aren’t. |
Reality captured in image and sound rejects your “narrative” and “fact checking without any facts” Here is more from East Jerusalem. Savages burn down the headquarters of the only organization providing food for starving children in an open air prison. |
