It's surprising that someone her age + level of wealth doesn't have a permanent 2nd home outside the city. It would open up a lot possibilities for the show. |
This is such a good point. |
Sometimes when I'm bothered about a certain storyline, someone will say something like, "they're not real people." Of course, we all know this. What I'm really complaining about is the writing of the character or how the scene was written. But that can really slow down a conversation. |
Actually, I’ve written two plays that have been staged.

When people hypothesized that Carrie could have possibly saved Big's life, had she not stood there for 15 minutes gaping at him, others on here responded that Big, of course, had to die, so it doesn't really matter that the scene was bizarre. I would argue that it does matter how they killed him--that's part of the art of storytelling, and it's why we watch the show. Otherwise, they could just skip the scene entirely and put some text on your TV that says "Big died." |
But the writers felt Stanford had to become a monk because he was giving away his worldly things including the apartment. |
You're pretty judgemental. Remember Carrie is with Aidan at the Club. She is supposed to leave him? Also, as pointed out above, there needed to be a confrontation between Che and Miranda - that would have not worked with Carrie there |
She has a house in the Hamptons. |
I thought she was sharing a house with Seema for the summer and Seema backed out because she couldn't handle seeing Carrie and Aidan together. |
I read part of an interview with one of the writers (producers? not sure now) that he had some kind of very healing moment in a Shinto temple in Japan and when they were trying to decide how to give Stanford his end thought that would be lovely and fitting. |
Agree, she witnessed her best friend's embarrassment. Che did not have a comedy set it was a roast of Miranda and it was cruel. Carrie should have left |
This! I would have pulled a “You B” ala Samantha and stormed out. Samantha was the only adult on the show. I’m proud I’m a Sam. |
| Is this gonna be renewed? |
People are saying HBO decides on renewals after ratings and other analytics are revealed, and that this season will end on a final note that could be expanded on if a renewal is decided. |
It has already been confirmed as renewed, per Instagram (Every Outfit on SATC) |
