This is all correct except they weren’t showing them photos on a phone. They were showing them items inside the white bag- the huddled over to block the view of the reporter behind. They wanted confirmation it was Brian’s stuff. Then police tells them to go home, Brian’s dad says he wants to stay and help and the police puts his arm on dad’s shoulder saying “we think we found something so we need to ask you to go home.” Making clear they found remains. That’s when dad started crying and mom wiped away his tears

No, laundrie’s mom is holding the white bag as the man holds up something (probably a phone), and the Laundries move around, trying to get a good angle to watch the screen because the sunlight is so bright.

If police found my kids remains, with me there in real time, my last concern would be perfectly blocking everyone's view of my face, what's in my hands, what's in law enforcement hands. I would be in pieces.

Give it a rest. They just learned their son is dead. Did you watch the video? The father crying when he got the news? They didn’t know and they weren’t involved and they are grieving. They have been vilified based on zero evidence that they had any knowledge of what happened to Gabby or knowledge or role in Brain’s disappearance. It’s sick what people have been doing to these individuals without anything to substantiate the wild accusations.

While I agree that you have included many valid points, I still think that the parents should have spoken up in the beginning.

When Gabby’s family was calling the Laundries, inquiring where she was or what they actually knew, etc., I just find it cruel that they never responded back.
While hiring a lawyer + deciding against speaking publicly is their fundamental right - morally they should have responded to Gabby’s parents and let them know what they knew.

By doing this, they only made themselves look bad.

+100. None of this absolves them.

It looked to me like they were plenty upset. It also looked to me like the sleazeball filming them was the one trying to stay unobtrusive by standing directly behind them. But I guess you’re the only one who grieves correctly so feel free to continue passing judgment.

Just read online that Brian Laundrie’s parents had notified law enforcement last night that today they were planning on searching the area where the human remains have been recovered.

It is noted that both of his parents found some items that perhaps belonged to their son.
I find this too coincidental that his folks randomly said they would be looking for him today, then they magically find his belongings.
Don’t you?!

I suspect they may have known his whereabouts and finally let down their guard this morning.
Perhaps they got tired of living a lie….??

Regardless I am looking forward to the press conference in a few minutes.

Dog thought he was near there. Spent days searching in reserve. He was right

Yes. In the video interview, he said he didn’t see him going off to Mexico or hiding out in cheap motels. He coined Brian as an outdoorsman and predicted he would be in an area familiar to him.

A camera caught a guy who looks like Brian riding a bicycle & wearing a heavy backpack.
He appeared to be having a difficult time riding the wobbly bike.

The video has been submitted to the FBI.
We’ll see if this pans out or not……

There’s probably a 0% chance he’s still in Florida but if he is it will really shock me.

I find it so odd that most people on T.V. talk about him as if he is still alive.
I think he isn’t but find I am in the sad minority.

Everybody is speaking of him like he is still roaming the earth while hiding out.

Why is it tough to accept that he may have been dead now for weeks??

PP Here,
Weird that I wrote this yesterday.

I guess I was wrong by thinking there was a 0% chance that he was in Florida.

I’m the other 0% replied here. Agreed.

FBI said found a backpack , Brian's notebook, human remains

FBI: human remains found in a part of the park that was recently underwater. Also found a backpack, personal belongings, and a notebook owned by Brian Laundrie.

Will need a few days to do the necessary forensic work onsite. Will need to confirm the human remains.

The FBI did not mention a cause of death. Sounds like this is over.

Interesting. I wasn’t sure he was in FL. But I was very skeptical he could have hidden out without a trace for this long. I guess is the most likely conclusion here.

They helped him get a burner phone. So I think they had hopes for him to make a getaway.

Omg they didn’t help him get a burner phone. It’s gross how people have described it that way. Brian got a new phone with a new service with ATT. It’s an account under his name. No secret at all to it.

There is store surveillance video that shows him going into a store with an older woman:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10042609/amp/FBI-investigates-Brian-Laundries-burner-phone-purchase.html

There has been no confirmation it was his mother with him, just an older woman. Sure, probably was his mom but why is that weird? Second, it was the day he disappeared/Sept 14, it was September 4th. We also know he was gone before the 14th. Third, you don’t get a “burner phone” from AT&T lol. He got a new phone contract with ATT when he bought the phone. Burner phones are prepaid cash phones that aren’t tied to your identity, which this was not. He left the phone at home when he fled and the FBI got it the first day he was reported missing. That’s hardly supportive of an intent to use the phone as a burner phone and further eviscerates the narrative that he bought a burner phone the day he went missing.

Pretty sure Dog was never at the reserve- wasn’t allowed in because it was closed to all but police/FBI.

Of course it made them look bad, but it was the smart thing to do. It’s 100% what I would have advised my clients to do as well. we don’t know what Brian told them. He may have told them absolutely nothing. Remember, her body wasn’t even found until after Brian left. They may have had zero clue that was something wrong. Brian left only two days after she was announced missing- that could have been a complete shock to the parents who could have led to him feeing a need to flee. He could have played her disappearance off as something he has no idea about. We simply don’t know what they knew or thought.

This. Everyone grieves differently and they looked very upset to me. They also have the unique situation of likely having come to assume that he was dead and therefore not being as surprised which can blunt the visual response. They are also dealing with a camera within feet of them and having dealt with an insane, presumably numbing situation for the past five weeks.

This is like the people who were criticizing the father for being caught laughing with a cop as indicative that he isn’t worried about his son and knows exactly where he is and that he is safe. Funny how people didn’t have that same reaction when Gabby’s dad was laughing in a video a couple days before her body was found. People who are miserable, grieving and worried to death can also have moments of levity
