I haven't listened to the morning show since COVID and was completely shocked when I saw this news. While there may have been a lot of drama going on, none of us know the true story. I find it very respectful that today's show was solely dedicated to him for his girls.

DP but IIRC, she wrote a letter to the Alexandria police chief demanding action after a situation she attached her narrative to. She posted a video of her recording and honestly, harassing, cops who were trying to respond to an incident.

I feel like she thought it was going to be newsworthy/ go viral, but that really backfired, or at least fell flat.

I don’t think Sarah’s podcast missed the mark at all. She focused on his kids, talked about her own mixed experiences working with him, and expressed sympathy and condolences repeatedly. And, Sarah herself lost her dad at a young age so I’m sure that this is an especially sensitive topic for her. Complex working relationship plus childhood trauma, what a mess! I think she handled a complex topic with kindness and grace, and kept the focus on the children.

I think IJ is being genuine too. He and Mel were not best friends. Mel left the show under circumstances similar to Danni and Sarah. If Mel posted raving about him she’d be lying. So the alternative would be something like Dani did, saying sorry to his daughters while trashing him. When faced with two bad choices, sometimes doing nothing at all is prudent.
