And so did a bunch of former interns who left/moved on.

Can we listen to old Kane show episodes? There’s some War of Roses on YouTube but I’d love to find a full episode of the lane show - especially from the Sarah and Samy days..

Wow. Y’all are trippin. So, Danni is supposed to say silent (and is apparently a whole lot of terrible things) because of Kane’s kids. But, y’all, a bunch of strangers on the internet are ripping her apart even though she also has kids who will presumably one day be able to use the internet.

I’m listening to today’s episode of YMS and Riley is “me me me me me me” and “he gave me my name, Riley couture was his brain child” braid child um? It’s trashy nickname people used on MySpace in 2005 but ok

She should have compassion. Two girls lost their dad. She knows what that feels like, and she's an adult. Now imagine you're 12.

Their lives ceased to be intertwined five years ago when she left 99.5, but she's still talking about it like it was this week. Kane wasn't perfect by far, but he moved on. When will she?

Isn't she always blathering on about how she is an empath?

Totally get it. She should. So should some of the people on this thread. I’m just saying we can’t ask for someone to show compassion while not offering them any.

I’m not defending anyone here. I’m simply commenting that people are asking her to do better while calling her terrible names. It seems like some of these comments are asking more from her then they are willing to give themselves.

Right. Totally. This is the one because it makes sense to us that she should extend grace and compassion. I guess, my issue is, why just her? Shouldn’t we all do better? She needs to move on but so does everyone on this thread. If you love him, support him and grieve him make your posts about that. People are flawed, complicated and exposed. Everyone. Kane, Danni, Natasha, you... everyone. Tearing someone down because you feel like they are not acting in good faith doesn’t make you a better person. This includes Danni and her rhetoric about Kane. Is it her truth? Maybe. Either way, if anyone wants to pretend they are on a higher moral ground then her while simultaneously tearing her down they are mistaken and sadly part of the bigger problem.

This whole thread sounds like some kind of drama between high school kids, but in the 80s with names like Danni, Mel, Kane, IJ. I could never get into the show.it was like hearing some stupid bar conversation between townies. Still, I feel sad he died. His drama and fakery clearly garnered tons of fans among you all.

Maybe because we’re not the ones claiming to be an empath. We aren’t making someone’s death all about us. We didn’t make it a point to prove years ago that’s shes bffs with Natasha, then blast the father of her children. Maybe we’ve shown Danni so much compassion, only to be proven that it was wasted on someone who truly just cares about herself. Maybe because we actually feel bad he died, and she relishes in it.

I never listened to the show. From what I can gather he was a total dirtbag. Maybe some online reactions are inappropriate... but that’s what you get when you’re a dirtbag.

You’re missing my point. I’m not defending her actions. I just think using them to justify name calling (which it looks like those posts have been mostly deleted) while also critiquing the morality of her actions doesn’t add up. You obviously feel really passionately about this situation. If you weren’t calling her a pig or whatever else my comment probably doesn’t apply to you. The only thing I would say to your comment above is maybe you shouldn’t make his death all about Danni either.
