Maybe you should open a mega church and report back here and let us know how it's going. In the meantime, does Osteen know he lives rent-free in your head? |
DP You don't get a $200K Ferrari by joining a mega-church. You get it by founding a mega-church, never paying taxes, drawing an immense salary, and banning hurricane victims from your sanctuary. |

The $500m for Israel or any other foreign country is not part of the relief bill.
They jammed the relief bill together with a bunch of appropriations bills to pass it as one big omnibus |
Why are foreign countries getting millions from us and our citizens are losing jobs and going hungry? |
A very small percentage of the annual budget goes to foreign aid each year. We are far and away the richest country in the world and we give less aid proportionally than most developed countries. A lot of the aid we give is spent in the US. For instance we give billions in foreign military financing, which is spent on US military contractors. Giving aid to LDCs helps prevent conflict by stabilizing those countries which saves us lots of money in the long run. We've also paid for many of the peace deals such as Israel/Jordan, Israel/Egypt, Sudan etc. |

Why are we giving all this money to other countries? For things that have nothing to do with Covid?

$453 MILLION for the Ukraine???? WTF |
...to buy weapons from us and defend against Russia. Ukraine borders our NATO allies and is being de-stabilized and attacked by Ruasia. There's also yens of billions for the wall, space force, Trump's deal with Sudan, and tax giveaways for NASCAR and the Kentucky Derby. Considering all that, aid to Ukraine seems both well spent and cheap. |
. Defense against Russia. It's not charity. |
| Yes but why are we doing ANY of that in a Covid bill? Shouldn't aid to foreign nations be a part of an aid to foreign nations bill? |
They wrapped the Covid bill into the omnibus spending bill. |
