I couldn't find the reference you mention but how refreshing to read transcripts between two actual intelligent people talking about actual issues. Bill and Tony reference an Economist article about currency, they talk intelligently about labor issues, the middle east and all kinds of topics. Trump's interview transcripts sound insane and his Ukraine transcript sounded like a 5th grader. |
Clinton is essentially saying here, if you could help resolve this crisis, resolving which would be in the national interest, that would help me win. He's not asking for investigation of a political rival. |
Also, this was in 2000 so Clinton didn’t have an election to win. |
It is refreshing, isn't it? I couldn't find the quote either, but I enjoyed remembering what it was like to have an intelligent person trying to think these issues through. Thanks, Tucker Carlson. |
So absolutely nothing like Trump holding appropriated military assistance hostage unless Ukraine makes an unfounded public accusation against his political rival and endorses a ridiculous conspiracy theory about 2016. |
Do you not have Google? Clinton wasn’t a candidate in 2000, and had already been impeached. The Gore campaign went out of its way to distance themselves from Clinton as a result. Tucker needs to loosen his bow tie to let more oxygen reach his brain. |
Does he still wear those dorky bow ties?

It is biased when he tries to twist it to make it look like it was a quid pro quo to win an election. The call was made in May 1997. There was no election coming up. In your Carlson's article, it says the call was made in 2000, again, Clinton wasn't running then. Here's the quote from Carlson:
Trumpsters who have any brains will note that Clinton didn't run in 2000. Unfortunately, too many Trumpsters don't have brains, and that's why Carlson can spew these lies to MAGAts, and they will believe it. It's no wonder Russians so easily influenced MAGAts. You're an idiot, PP, for not even reading your own article and putting 2 and 2 together. New math? 2+2 = 5 to you. |
Really? So if CNN or WaPo or NYT uncovers evidence, does that mean it it is not necessarily biased? Ha... tell that to Trump and Trumpsters. But your "unbiased" evidence by Tucker Carlson has a few holes in it... like the timeline. LOL |
Illinois GOP Rep. John Shimkus — a retiring 22-year vet of Congress — says he no longer supports Trump after he abandoned the Kurds.

Hillary was running for the NY Senate seat. She won Nov. 7, 2000. Schumer won in 1998. Also, not sure how relevant this whose line of thinking is however, BA was in the midst of an antitrust suit over Miami-London flights: the decision was handed down in 1999. I would have glossed over this thread but, when people call opponents stupid and spike the ball in the end zone when there is a flag on the field, I kinda take notice. |
Republican Maryland governor Larry Hogan came out in favor of an impeachment inquiry this morning. |
But that link is about Bill Clinton, not HRC. So that PP is reaching, and failing hard. |
CNN’s Manu Raju asked Rep. Francis Rooney (R-FL) if he’d back impeachment: “I’m not going to say anything about that until all the facts are in. I remember too many people saying, 'Oh, this is a witch hunt against Richard Nixon,' and come to find out it wasn't a witch hunt." |
Thank you, Francis, for thinking about the health of our country and democracy and not just bowing to dear leader. |
