Really? What other white man killed his family, got convicted of the murders, got 2-3 years, and started another family? Link and citation or you are a liar.

Umm Drew Peterson?

Married four women. First two lived. Third died in 2004 and was found to have been drowned in a bathtub. Coroner's jury decided he was a devoted husband and couldn't have done it. Wasn't til 2008 that it was officially ruled a homicide.

Or Robert Durst?

Murdered wife who went 'missing'. He cancelled her credit cards, dumped her possessions, and reduced a search reward in less than three weeks. He got 5 years in prison, 3 with time served...for murdering someone ELSE. Not her.

Neither of those guys killed their wives and kids and were convicted and set free after 2-3 years.

Both are murderers but didn’t get away with it because they were white. They were evil guys who were crafty. Both had people in their lives who felt they were guilty and kept trying to get them arrested and tried and convicted.

I'm sorry, but it seems that many of these arguments are veering into dangerous territory. Why is there a single post on here trying to justify or explain why this man killed four people. This is insane.

My only guess is that you need to tell yourself that you're living life in such a way that your husband would never snap.

It is all so crazy to me that the hatred of stay-at-home parents is now moving into hey it's okay to kill them because they lived above their means and she wouldn't get a job

Yes, and the mom who had lupus is maligned because she didn’t go to law school and become a CrossFit instructor.

The murdered mom. Who was pregnant. With lupus. Wasn’t a high achiever. And married a man who wasn’t even honest with himself.

She was pregnant with her 3rd child, doing business travel for her MLM and marketing herself, her family and her products on Facebook. She put a lot of time and attention into her children and her MLM. It doesn't sound as though she could not have gotten a full time job if she had wanted to. She used to have one. And business travel is about as full time as a job gets.

I realize that a disease like lupus can be limiting in some circumstances, but that does not appear to be the case with her.

I wish she had found the courage and the strength to divorce that guy. But she strikes me as the dreamer/romantic type who prefers to live in what should be as opposed to what actually is.

Do you think she thought he was cheating? Cheating with women? And men?

I can’t believe if she knew he was cheating with men she’d continue the charade. That’s pretty nuclear.

Of course the mom and her unborn son did not deserve to be murdered. And goodness knows those precious little girls didn't deserve any of this.

That man is a cold blooded psycho who was apparently capable of this horror.

She did not do this. He did.

She knew something was up. I don't know if she realized that he was cheating on her with a man or not. I think she knew he was cheating though.

He even introduced his daughters to his lover which is just crazy but also shows how he just did not GAF and was hellbent on doing his own thing.

This guy doesn't strike me as particularly intelligent but I think that he thinks he's a lot smarter than he really is. He was used to pulling things over on people and thought that he could get away with it. But the cops were (A LOT) smarter than he was.

Honestly I think he would have gotten away with it. They would have never found those girls in the oil drums. Ever. Too large and too expensive to dump all of them without proof because the oil company would have fought it.

He could have moved the mom's body later as well or just left her where he buried her.

The only and I mean ONLY reason he got caught is because the best friend sounded the alarm less than six hours after the murder.

School was out of session too. He could have had 2 days or so to say they ran off and she was probably on her way back home to SC. The amber alert would have had to cover at minimum two states and more likely eight (the route between the states).

Meanwhile - no bodies, no crime.

I agree with you. You make valid points I never thought of. He’s a monster. How could he have gone in with his kids forever dead in a big tank? Probably he would have been fine. He obviously planned that part out.

This guy was going to get caught one way or another. By satellite, forensics and who knows what else pops up.

As for the gay lover Banfield is getting a lot of criticism for not checking first. That story is starting to smell.

Smell? Why would he lie about being a murderer's former lover?

Also re getting caught...lots of family murderers get away with it for a long while. No bodies, no crime.

Their problem wasn't their income it was living far above their means. Either way, she was married to a psychopath and didn't know it. That's always the disturbing part. Scott Peterson had a history of cheating and odd behavior. I think whatever develops there were signs all along. Seems like these guys always prey on these types of women until they tire of them.

This is what I just can't wrap my head around, the notion of being married to someone and having no idea they're a psychopath capable of murdering you. It just blows my mind. And sorry but even if their marriage was rocky, I don't think based on her demeanor in all of the videos that she had ANY clue he was capable of something like this.

It also blows my mind that he could have gotten away with this, although the comments to that effect do make sense. Did he lead authorities to the oil barrels, or did they figure that out some other way?

I've thought it's a little odd the the friend did sound the alarm so quickly, in like 6 hours. Even with a close friend, I wouldn't assume something was wrong if I couldn't get in touch all day. I wonder if she just had a bad feeling.

I saw something indicating that he had been doing this "Thrive" program, as well as her. It involves things you ingest, it seems, as well as a patch that must put something in your bloodstream.

Something that's supposed to improve energy level and promote weight loss.

Someone should look into whether this product people are putting into their systems can have any effect on the mind (mood, impulse control, etc)
