Actually, I think "we" do get it. She would have needed to get a full time job to get health benefits and work experience. He would have had to pay the bulk of the childcare expenses which I am sure he did not want to do. Money would have been tight for both of them post divorce.

He probably saw killing his family as a way to free himself of that burden. He would maybe collect life insurance, maybe a go fund me account would be established and he could collect on that. Maybe he and his lover (whichever one he chose) could have gone somewhere sunny and sandy to recover from his "grief and loss". Pure, Grade A a-hole.

Their problem wasn't their income it was living far above their means. Either way, she was married to a psychopath and didn't know it. That's always the disturbing part. Scott Peterson had a history of cheating and odd behavior. I think whatever develops there were signs all along. Seems like these guys always prey on these types of women until they tire of them.

Holy crap. My exBIL was like this to my sister- to a T. The affairs with men and women, the lies, the dating app/s. Except he didn’t kill her- but still, a raging psychopath.
