I'm just as guilty, but the bottom line is people like that are ignorant in the mind they are hardened of heart, their spirit is twisted and education is not what they're open to, education, understanding, gaining information, learning new perspectives that's not their goal that's not their intent and that's not what they're willing to do. 1) Yes, two generations should be plenty - especially with the advantages of affirmative action, Pell grants, and other programs. Jews immigrated here to escape horrific religious persecution, with nothing more than a knapsack on their back and an 8th grade education, and a single generation later their kids are all college graduates.

2) Similar to above, most whites in this country cannot trace their lineage back 350 years. The "Mass Immigration" between 1882 and 1924 were poor, uneducated, persecuted minorities.

You see all these factors as "excuses" and not actual facts that impact people. I say this as a mixed white/japanese person and ex-Republican. I grew up thinking negatively about AAs. I strongly believe in individual responsibility. But I also understand and empathize with the complexities associated with AA history in this country. I have taken the time to TRY to understand things from their POV and not just accept what my parents told me, or incomplete white washed pro-American history books. I am also aware of white america's history of pitting other minorities achievement against AAs, which again is a gross equivalency in all aspects. It ignores US immigration policy and the structural barriers faced by AAs not faced by others. The existence of wealthy or highly educated AAs doesn't dispute or diminish its impact. Neither does pointing to the success of African and Caribbean immigrants. We will never move forward until white Americans and the USG can acknowledge basic truths about how AAs have been, and still are treated. I honestly believe this ignorance will be the will result in the end of the US. By the looks of it, its already started.

Perfect example is Russia.
1) "public enemies". During the time of stalin's repression about 10 million of children were declared "children of the public enemies". While their parents vanished in concentration camps, these children were placed in the orphanages where they were ostracized. When they grew up they were deprived of college education. Guess what, about 90% of them did not become a career criminals, or alcoholics, or anything of that nature. Against all odds they became decent people with white/blue color professions and their children are even better off then their parents.
2) Russia had slavery for centuries. Slave's descenders made on their own, without any gov programs to help them. Of course, the concept of slavery was not groomed and promoted, there were no retributions - you swim or you sink, you choice. People chose to swim.
3) Russian Jews. They made it against all odds of extrime anti-semitism, which was embedded into very system. Absolute majority of Soviet Jews are college educated and did very well.

More false equivalencies. Slavery in Russia was abolished in the 1700s and 1600s for farmers. My guess is that you are referring to the subsequent serfdom which was abolished in the 1800s similar to US slavery? Your comment leads me to believe you do not understand the differences between of Russian serfs(de facto slaves) and African slaves were treated, and each were treated afterwards.

Both were horrible, but an African slave in the US would have killed to get the protections and rights that serfs had even before emancipation. The US constitution said AAs were less than one person. USG had laws specifically designed negatively impact AAs. Serfs/peasants did not have such things.

After emancipation race became the key difference in treatment b/t the two groups. Emancipated serfs were allowed to take advantage of Russia's capitalism movement. Funny thing with your post, is that you assume Russians have "made it." Lol. today AAs are actually better off than your average Russian in Russia across most stats. AA are better off then Russians beacause american gov ALLOWED them to speak up. If Russians would take the same action they would simply vanish, all of them. There were numerous small or serous rebellions of serfs throughout Russian history, all of them were suppressed by military force. Blood bath every time, the luckiest ones received life of hard labor sentences in Siberia. Landlord had a full right to sell a serf, to separate parents from children, to torture a serf to death - don't tell me it was better in Russia, please. Young girls were traded for pure bred hound puppies, and young mothers were forced to breastfeed these puppies. Slavery has the same ugly face.
During stalin's regime collective farmers were deprived from having passports and from leaving their villages, and worked not for an actual pay but for "day of labor" which could be exchanged for goods, very few goods, because their labor was valued next to nothing. They were also punished for loss of crops and for deaths of farm animals. And that's 10 - 15 years of hard labor for a dead horse that I am talking about.
And the same 10 years for a diminishing (or not) joke about Stalin or soviet regime. Or for nothing at all. Millions killed by stalin's regime were rehabilitated of their crimes - millions of families died in concentration camps for no wrong doing.

I agree with the PP, but get the feeling that it's important to some people to create the appearance that we're going in the opposite direction.

It's desperation when you think about it. And when you think about it again, you realize there's more to be gained from coming together and tackling these issue than pulling apart.

I could care less what the color of the future is
I worry a little bit about the illegal immigration/Hispanic issue and the permanent black, white underclass but they will eventually all die off.

The question is how much of the government resources do we spend on fighting all these issues

1. Enforcing immigration laws
2. Policing and school spending in inner cities
3. Overall spending and opoid issues in rural areas

I only wish your post were true, but I think we are going in the opposite direction.

I agree with the PP, but get the feeling that it's important to some people to create the appearance that we're going in the opposite direction.

It's desperation when you think about it. And when you think about it again, you realize there's more to be gained from coming together and tackling these issue than pulling apart.

I wholeheartedly believe more people feel that way than not.

I'm the poster you both are responding too. And what I think is happening is that those that subscribe to the dying paradigm are raising HOLY HELL!!
And while I do believe there are a lot of "good" people out there, we all have work to do. We all have subconscious bias, prejudices, old mindsets that we have to root out and change. We have to be honest about the work that needs to be done.

None of those items address the OP's concern, which is a dwindling white population.

They should all be addressed and the government is the only entity with the wherewithal to do it, but trying to place emphasis on one race or another is a waste. We're pretty much looking at the tip of an iceberg sized crisis, and people need to realign their thinking. Throughout the history of this country, the alignment has been that there's not enough for everyone, so we have to decide that entire segments of the population have to be Have Nots, and therefore not deserving of even a shot at opportunity.

Now the Have Nots are overwhelming us and they're overwhelmingly white. Here are just two stories describing the crisis:

I think ignorance is the thing you need to be concerned about. There's no government program or funding that can save us from it. We're all going to go down together.
