Crimes are not private. |
If there was a crime why hasn't the boy been arrested yet? Also, I highly doubt the investigation and crime division made anything public. So then who fed the media? Hmmm |
I assume many reporters have sources within the police department to tip them to potential stories, especially if the info is not public. |
That's true, and why inside information in such cases often comes from tabloids and non-traditional media. The Times and the Post don't tend to hire a lot of reporters who cut their teeth in night court. |
That poor boy. He is has been accused, vilified and found guilty--all without a trial or even a chance to address the accusations. This is a terrible thing for his peers to know. |
Exactly. |
+1 He hasn't been arrested yet. That doesn't mean he didn't do it but this is a process here that everybody needs to wait and see. The world of media is not a good thing. |
|
Who's feeding the media? The sfs parents... Lots are in media and connected to media. They will have no problem
Getting the story. |
The parents don't know the story either. Right now only two people know the truth. |
|
Nobody knows the boy's name so why are you all up arms?
On another note, if the boy's family is connected that may explain the leaking of "facts" to the media so as to make it seem less believable (ie oral, anal and vaginal rape all at once). |
| I doubt that connections will play any role here. Sidwell is not like that. However, I worry about how the school will handle the discipline if the police find they do not have enough evidence to press charges. Too many cases like this turn out to be "he said, she said" and difficult to charge. I hope this one is clear-cut so the school is not in the position of having to make its own determination as to what happened. |
+1 parent your children. Not everything can be outsourced successfully. |
Sidwell is as connected as you get in DC. |
| Yes, but they don't play favorites based on connections. |
True, they play favorites based on donations |
