(inserted picture of floral couch) Does this belong to anyone or did anyone see who dumped it in this dumpster? We got this dumpster to get rid of stuff at our house and we have to pay for anything that is stacked higher than the sides. Someone dumped this couch in here today 5-1-13 while we were at work.

If anyone knows who did it, or if it was you please tell us. We had to pay quite a bit for it and now (name redacted) has to cut it up into pieces to try to make it fit. Next time we would be happy to share If someone asked.

Thanks.

holy shit! they slaughtered a floral couch! OUCH

That's a legit post. It's basically stealing a service. Not so different than if someone hooked a hose up to your outdoor water tap and hiked up your water bill.

Agreed, but posted as a rant- not a possible solution. Nobody is going to fess up after it's all said and done...she was pissed. I can't blame her.

Then please tell us how to determine who to charge for the unlawful disposal of a floral couch at a neighbor's private dumpster?

You don't. That's my point in all of this. Shit happens, people. Then you say, "well that shit sucks." AND. MOVE. ON.

OP is the wife of the neighbor who got hit by a cone.

I truly doubt anyone knows who I am b/c I am have not "gabbed" to anyone. And I know PP have accused me of being"incredibly mean-spirited" but honestly that was not my intention. I just thought her post was super-wacky and pretty darn funny, and other people would enjoy a laugh.
Also, I really don't think there is any expectation of privacy on a public list-serv that you post your name and address on. Obviously she had no problem with what she wrote.

If I had been wrong, and this was not a super-funny post, this thread would have died on p.1. But obviously other people find this amusing too!

As for Karma, and the threats that people have made against me -- all I can say is practice some deep breathing and don't take everything so seriously!

Signed, you know who I am!!!!!

Your moral logic is pretty flawed. So if the class mean girl makes fun of another kid and her classmates laugh and continue the mockery, then the original act was not wrong? Really?

Not the OP but logic says you should leave this thread.

Then please post your address so I can drop off an old washer and dryer and a house full of old carpeting. I don't feel like paying to dump it.

Agree with PP, I would be feeling awful right about now that this was so blown out of proportion and that I had technically started this online debacle. You sound so confidently happy and proud you did this....interesting factoid about your character, OP.

OP's character = cowardly but mean girl. If there is karma, she'll get nabbed by a pine cone.

Such drama in the neighborhood. The battle lines have been drawn: Team Angry Man v. Careless 6 Year Old. Go!

I'm NOT saying it was an ethical thing to do nor do I condone it. But I wouldn't think to go on a listerv to bitch about it after I had already taken care of it myself. Get it?
