News personalities can become a target for crazy people or criminals because they are so visible in the sense that they are on your tv daily for an hour. And news personalities aren't actors playing a character so people think they know the real person. |
Ice? O% chance. Absurd to even consider. Crazy MAGA person? Always possible. It is a huge national news story and it isn’t surprising that the WH would post something generic/bland to acknowledge it. The WH is not “involved” with the case. |

This keeps getting stranger. |
First thought that came into my mind. |
| Ransom in bitcoin? Definitely crazy maga. |
| Savannah's husband is a prominent Democratic political consultant. He was Al Gore's Chief of Staff. |
Could also be totally unrelated scammer just trying to get money and has never stepped foot in Arizona. |
No, for ransoms. These kidnappings are common in Mexico and South America. They typically don't make our US news because regular citizens are kidnapped in these countries and then released for say $1500 or so. |
Peoples loved ones are kidnapped ransomed and released for several thousand dollars in Mexico. $40 million goes a long way in many countries. |
It was Arizona, not Mexico. |
You can’t imagine that she was taken to Mexico? |
It is only 60 miles. |
DP. The reason I think this might still be a possibility is because of who Savannah and her husband are, and the proximity to Mexico. |
I’m thankful Al Gore gave us the internet but I can’t imagine anyone in 2026 caring enough about him to target Savannah/her husband over Al. |
That’s just how she is. She recently published a book on faith. |
