Trump would have lost in a landslide if the Biden administration hadn’t been captured by progressives.

Yup. Trump is going to win and it’s because Biden was too far gone to control his extreme progressive staffers, with the exception of Blinken, who went far on supporting Israel.

This is a good take. Ron Klain was probably Biden’s biggest mistake and he staffed the WH and administration when left wing ideologues.

Biden also made problems for himself by overlying promoting his loyal lieutenants, like Blinken. Blinken is not responsible for Israel. Blinken is a lightweight. Jake Sullivan is the one responsible for Israel policy. It’s always the so-called smart guys who believe their own hype that end up screwing up the worst.

That’s a reasonable take. In essence, the current Biden administration is staffed either with far left-wing ideologues or very pro-Israel foreign policy staff. Biden himself is too incapacitated to rein them in. That resulted in a president who campaigned as a moderate but who in practice went far left (except for Israel).

I’m not even opposed to keeping close ties with Israel — I don’t see viable alternatives in the Middle East for the US — but that doesn’t have to mean a blank check.

A Harris presidency will be taken over by the same far left-wing ideologues and special interests. That is why she said she wouldn't change a thing about the last 4 years.

Teamsters poll their members. It went from Biden +8 before the debate to Trump +26.

This is somewhat expected: Biden was from Scranton, was generally seen as a moderate, and his Delaware ad buys spilled into PA for decades.

Where is it for Harris and Trump now?

As of Sept. 15 it was +27 Trump.

(unfortunately -- I'm a Harris supporter)

Cool. I hope the dems will remember this after they bent over backwards to save their pensions

To clarify: Teamsters currently have Trump + 26 over Harris.

Warning signs all over.

I still say Harris wins but if she keeps sliding like this she won't.

She gets what she deserves. So do we as a country.

Yes, which is why this race is much closer than it should be. It is hard for the DCUM bubble to understand, but progressive policies and politicians are widely despised.

Trump is such a phenomenally weak candidate that it is astonishing that this race is close. But the Democrats haven’t campaigned or governed from the middle, and have focused on pleasing the progressives instead. That’s a losing battle — that group is never satisfied (identity-based misery is their raison d’être) — and it is extremely alienating to everyone else.

I also predict that Harris will be the most unpopular President ever and despite being elected President and being the most powerful person in the world, we will be told over and over that her unpopularity is due to racism and sexism. Because that’s a pattern for her.

The only way Kamala wins NC is if other swing states also go her way. She isn’t losing WI, PA and GA yet gaining NC.

You represent the emotional nature of MAGA. They have a need to enjoy other people's suffering for some weird reason.

Oh please, no one is “suffering” because the election didn’t go their way.

The “Trump is hitler” closing argument will bring it home for her!

Harris victory inbound!

Do you hope Dems remember that Black and Hispanic men are voting for Trump in record numbers as well? No wonder Harris did a 180 on the border.

All that Dems are going to have left in a few cycles are UMC white women and some UMC white men if they keep this up. Not a majority coalition.

Quite entertaining from a certain perspective. You vote ALWAY ALWAY ALWAYS for the one you like. On some level, people like Trump.

On the other hand, I think Harris will win this time around because institutions/business tends to favor Harris.

I voted for Trump but definitely don’t like him.

A US President should be anti-Iran and by extension anti-Hamas. That’s not far left or far right!

A vote for Trump is a vote against women and a vote for corruption. You must be proud.

She could win NC but not GA. I could see this very easily actually. As the PP noted the governor's race in NC is beneficial to Harris. Also demographics in NC have specific features that are good for Harris (as opposed to just good for a generic democrat). She will need to turn out highly educated voters in Research Triangle and environs and also turn out black voters but it's certainly possible.

I don't think outcomes in WI or PA will track what is happening in NC or GA. The motivators are different. I view WI-PA-MI as similar enough that you could see domino effect but the Sunbelt states are both distinct from the Rust Belt and also tend to be more distinct from each other.
