10-15% cut of the overall HHS budget for the next 3 years. Heavy layoffs and whole departments gone. All those GS-14s and above get pushed to private industry. The days of hundred billion contracts to big pharma by .gov are over. Medicaid food delivery? No. The damn thing is gobbling up everything else. Many cabinets are like it. Dept of Agriculture is a front organization for food stamps and EBT. The dept of Energy produces no energy; it just attacks the energy industry. The Dept of Commerce does it's level best to make us uncompetitive globally with all its rules. This big govt leviathan is out of control, it's operated by an administrative state of unelected bueaucrats answerable to no one and it's off the rails. Look at the DOT and FEMA response to accidents. It's a travesty and their employees are very well paid. Govt fails us again and again and throwing good money after bad at it is not a fix.

This country is going broke BECAUSE of Washington DC. The masterminds sitting there in their temperature controlled offices all day making proclamations from their ivory towers are our undoing.

Exactly right. And the response by the Dems is to throw the doors open to everyone, which creates more of a need for food stamps, EBT, and forces low income Americans to compete for the same jobs.

Illegals are not eligible for food stamps, EBT etc (and it is all called SNAP now, if you know anything about how this all works, which, clearly you don't)

The debt ceiling is being hit because of spending and lack of revenue caused by Trump and the GOP....the US needs to pay its bills. It has nothing at all to do with new spending. That would be what the forward budget is for.

So basically we are paying for the lack of revenue from the unfunded tax cuts. But people like you either ignore it or don't understand that.

Doesn't seem so bad, but then there is a 25% rate on top of that as a municipal tax. It ranges from 22-27% based on location. It's not clear if this can be deducted from state tax(which we would call a federal tax)

ABSOLUTELY FALSE. Republican tax cuts created trillions in shortfalls, which is DEBT. You sound like a complete idiot.

As for the charter found in the US Constitution I'd also remind you that the charter clearly says

"The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;"

Common defense AND GENERAL WELFARE. That's a broad mandate that can't be ignored.
