I agree he won’t win. I think it will end in him paying her legal fees.

He’s reporting she hurled glass bottles at him, causing the bones of his bloody hand to stick out. Certainly there must be medical records to verify this? sp

He cut his own hand and then wrote her name with his own blood all over the walls. He also didn't seek medical help until it was almost too late to save his finger. His medical records will not help at all and I wonder if the blood work will show illegal substance use.

Can anyone chime in on whether his story even seems plausible?
Was it a broken bottle thrown?
Seems more likely he did it himself...

You don't understand the law. He's the plaintiff and he needs to prove that her article, which didn't name him, killed his career. His career was over due to drug use, prior problems on the set, and impossibility to getting insured PRIOR to her article. This is not about Amber not being Mother Theresa. He lost in UK, which has much more lenient rules. He wants revenge and wants to blame her for the failure of his career.

Likewise burning his own face with lit cigarettes?

No doctor will say that could be a self-inflicted injury. His right hand is permanently deformed.

He strikes me as sort of michael Jackson-esque in that he had a terrible childhood that damaged him deeply but then a bunch of people that propped him up and never really made him deal with him shit for decades because he was rich and famous and talented and he just buried all the shit under stuff that made him not think about it. She strikes me as equally troubled, although it’s not clear to me whether she’s BPD (probably) or just also from a really screwed up background and looking for validation in all the wrong ways.
I have a family member with BPD that accused her spouse of abuse — he was not at all guilty of it and she eventually backed off the accusations but she did all sorts of crazy stuff to provoke a fight if he didn’t feed into her drama, like screaming insults at him and breaking things, etc. She would also come off as totally sane and sweet to someone that had not been on the inside of it. So the marriage therapist deposition reminded me of that. Those personalities often seem out a partner that will create drama. (For my family member, she chose someone she knew her parents would hate, but once her parents passed away, she needed to create the drama in other ways. The problem is that the person habituates to the drama so they need to keep escalating to get the desired effect.

+1 there’s definitely a boy who doesn’t want to grow up Peter Pan thing about him.

She burned a cigarette butt into his face!

If you cut your own hand just to write in blood why on earth would you do such a violent job of it. It looked disgusting. I don’t buy that.

Anyone trying to paint this as totally one side or the other is not credible. Two toxic people being toxic together. They should all lose.

I think he may win. There are witnesses to her abusing him and medical records to go along. There aren’t witnesses of him abusing her. She is going to struggle to defend herself. Who else could she be talking about in the WaPO article and it was clearly a revenge piece intended to hurt him.

NTM this does make him look manipulated and abused. If he were a woman, movie studios would be lining up to give him movies.

I agree that she wrote the piece about Johnny, but she does claim to have been abused before him. I think that’s her defense in how the article wasn’t about him.

Also, wasn’t their therapist Johnny’s witness who testified that there was mutual abuse?

She's a black widow nutjob. Even though he was an A-lister, she didn't want to marry this old man, she was aging out of Hollywood stardom and she was being an opportunist. When marrying him didn't propel her to stardom like she'd hoped, she became jealous and unhinged and then probably cooked up this victim scheme. She's a flat-out dumb common opportunist. Elon Musk and presumably others were wise enough to run away from her black widow energy, Johnny wasn't.

Reminds me of the Billy Joel young wife who was publicly cheating on him in Miami? She's now some Food Network star. Just a mooch and a user and serial opportunist.

Your description of what happened is not supported by the events witness by others and medical records.
