The original 2022 Blue coach was a disaster, as was the head of the board and several other admin people who have all since been let go or left the organization. The replacement coach also made some questionable decisions that did not help the chemistry of the team or their recruiting prospects when it really mattered. That was definitely a tough recruiting year but there are still some lingering recruiting challenges so it is great to see the 23 teams doing so well with their commitments!

Was that the NOVA public school coach?

Not fair. He is a good coach now with the 25s. They kinda capped him with ‘22s - he was allowed to take on new players but not to get rid of but one of the old coaches’ choices. That team would have been better if he’d been given freedom to restock as he saw fit. He was stuck with players he didn’t want.

CLC is the worse because of their ownership (someone who is respected as a player and a coach)….

CLC is awful cause the ownership offers opportunities for all players(not just CLC players) to improve their conditioning…

CLC is awful because their players played and competed with the best teams in the nation…

CLC is wrong for offering guidance on recruiting and some do and don’ts and places the responsibilities on the players to accomplish those goals….

CLC is wrong for level setting expectations for the recruiting cycle based on the cycle and it’s issues….

CLC is wrong for making sure the players take the lead role in recruiting and not the parents….

CLC is wrong for playing, coaching to improve and playing the best teams they can at tournaments versus playing in division to win their bracket and coming up short like…..hum… what is the name of that other travel team?

CLC is wrong for holding a competitive placement process and not making you commit to the team before placements of other clubs….

CLC is wrong by having 15 years of history and placing solid players in the D1 ranks….

Yet after doing all this wrong they still beat Pride 2023 black and have an unbelievable recruiting class in a tough year.

CLC turn out strong women who will accomplish much on and off the field!

Congrats Capital well earned!!!!!

Hi Gussie. Not a Pride parent or owner. But can you figure out a way to stop spamming me and my child with your training classes. I don't want them, and no matter how many times we put unsubscribe they keep on coming. I only realized who you were because of this thread talking about how wonderful you are over and over. I might believe it if your spamming didn't make you look like a scam artist.

If the spam filter button is that complicated for you, I can now understand why you didn't have success in the recruiting process.

Not fair? I think the question was just asked if that coach was the Nova public school coach. Same guy who runs the V-Day event. Confirmed. Thanks

Another Pride ‘23 player commits to West Point. 2nd one this week. It looks like the Pride KM recruiting program is finally kicking into gear.
Anonymous
Yeah keep telling yourself KM that.

Great for them!!!

Pride recruiting is not kicking in gear at all, those players did it on their own. KM is all smokin mirrors

Omg, shut it. Not a CLC parent but every kid is different and every kid has different factors that go into their decision. What kind of player are you? What is that coach looking for that year? How are the kids grades? How are the kids grades relative to their lax ability and position in the recruiting lineup? What kind of place do they want to go to school? What can their parents afford to pay?

Everyone assumes that everyone is looking at Duke, UNC, Ivies. They aren’t.

I can’t stand Capital, but I agree that just cause you and you kid are losers who live vicariously through an anonymous message board, does not mean you have a clue on anyone’s decision. Everyone’s decision has many factors. Maybe a school is good at what they want to study, maybe they want to be near family, maybe they got good money and would rather write the check for grad school so your daughter can be their administrative assistant someday with her NOVA CC degree. Go back to your bridge troll and leave 16-17 year olds alone. Congrats to all the girls who commit to play in college at any level. They will be better for the lessons and skills they learn from the sport.

It’s absolutely great entertainment switching between these posts defending girls who commit to low-academic schools for lacrosse and other threads like the boys lax one where OConnell boys are laughed at for commiting to MaryMount and no one feels the need to jump to their defense -and then the college threads where schools like Duke, Notre Dame and Georgetown are trashed regularly as not being elite. DCUM’s split personality is enough to cause whiplash.
