More good news to come from Capital 23 Blue. Had a great summer season of playing high quality team lacrosse inspired by great coaching

This is really great. In particular for a club w this type of win/loss record. Go's to show that coaches can identify talent no matter where they fall in ranking.

Disagree. I think it goes to show it's about the relationship your club director has with the colleges. This was not the best team Capital has ever put forward, but they pulled strings for these players without question-- probably because of all the drama with Pride, new owner, and wanting to assert their dominance once and for all. It's clear to all where you want to play.

The (meaningless) win/loss record most likely can be traced to the depth of talent on 2023 blue. Capital gives all equal playing time.

Advocacy is an important role for every club, but the college coaches know what they are doing. As said many times on this thread, Capital 23 Blue has some strong players, and the first round of commits prove this out.

The comments on won/loss record and connections to college coaches are really off-base. This team has great talent, and played against the toughest teams in the country. They were in ever game, beat Heroes 3 times, and MD United. Tough losses to CT Grizzlies and M&D Black. The college coaches wanted to see this team play, because they played a high caliber team-oriented game guided by great coaching. The college coaches liked what they saw, and have made offers accordingly. College coaches don't make offers based on connections. They want to win and get good talent.

If that’s true why didn’t they do it for the ‘22 blue team? That team still has some talented players uncommitted.

Logic is apparently not your strength. If what you say is true regarding Club connections to College Coaches, that should have also worked last year and this year. I can only talk about the 23 team having seen every game. They played as a team, had great talent and the college coaches came to see it.

Make sure to tell the coaches who push hard on those national rankings as a marketing tool that wins and losses don’t matter.
